Utility

If Utility was recalled tomarrow, how many would be willing to come back. Most of them have moved on with their lives and probally not willing to take the chance with this company. But that is what the company was counting on. Now they can hire off the street at a different pay scale. Come on....look at the big picture.

There is no differant pay scale in the CBA, if they hire off the street the wage rates in the CBA will be the ones used to determine their pay, there is no differant pay scale.

It has been so long since I've been furloughed Can anybody please refresh my memory as to what the pay rates are for recalled utility as well as stock clerks? I never got my "new" contract from management. Thanks! ;)

Stock clerk pay is $16.67 top out and utility is top out is $14.90.

First of all my LITTLE stock clerk genius, you were probably shipping boxes when the gurus (goons, scabs) whatever Freiberger, Mantineo, Belmont, Kline etc were walking around the gates in Philly telling members to vote yes or we will get concessions down our throat!!!!!! Now how is the foot? Why did we vote twice? I will be busy with my LIFE so sorry I can't respond. I have my IBT negotiated 4 days off....aaahhhh
Brown,
You keep bringing a loaded gun to argue with 700 and he keeps shooting you with it. When you going to learn?

isn't there some after so long furlough come back at a reduced rate clause??
dont know about the stock clerkes and related, but i know for fleet it was 60 days from furlough then pay starts at bottom which I think is 8.65 an hr but you retain your seniority i believe. may be someone can enlightened it a bit

Mechanic and Related after being laid-off for five consecutive years goes back to step one on the pay scale.

why should the stockers at east be worried, either way the y will still be union??????? you act as if they are pulled out of the mandr they will be left at will, their contractual rights would have to be kept

You must be one of the IAM scabs. I have shown 700 time and time again where he is wrong, I actually had to inform him that his company hauled cargo, that UPS operates under a 121 certificate, that UPS currently and always has chartered acft of pax status, etc etc. However Mr. 700 always has a answer, even when he is wrong he will put a spin on it. Kind of like arguing politics or religion. He still won't put our contracts side by side  How about you? What do you think? 2009 is a long time away

Apparently Brown has no feel or insight into the negotiation process afforded to unions under NMB rules.
If negotiations were to commence today,6-8-06..there would be at least a two year time frame of company/union negotiations...then the time frame to bring back to the union a voteable agreement....tell me then...where are we now?

what do you know that we do not??

the company is under no legal obligation to open any contract until the term of that particular contract has come up to the amendable date for renegotiation.anyone who tells you any different is full of BULL.or maybe ....brown.

The company will likely do what it can to make sure they deal with the Company union(iam)!!

exactly. The IAM is powerless. If utility comes back then it will only be because the IAM has cut a bottom feeder deal with the company to increase its dues paying members.

Are you hallucinating?

I have shown you wrong on when US filed bankruptcy and when concessions were voted on.

I have proved you wrong on Joe Mantineo Sr.

I have proved you wrong on numerous other things.

US Airways is not a cargo only airline unlike UPS.

Compare apples to apples, not orange, every ibt cba allows unlimited outsourcing of heavy maintenance, can't say the same about the IAM M&R CBAs.

You are the one who is spinning.

then waiting until '09 and an additional 2-3 years puts the POS contract in place for another 6-7 years. even if it took 2 years NOW to get a new one, it would be in place until the time the old one could be improved

the company has no legal obligation as you say, but the fa's and pilots are getting new contracts, why can't mechanics????
