Utility

The CWA filed a grievance as did other unions, but your union and the ibt sold out your grievance for your transition agreement and the cwa-ibt alliance, has nothing to do with the IAM as the IAM's change of control grievance is going through the process.

Better go work on that memory, US filed bankruptcy the first time in August of 2002, concessions were not voted on till September of 2002, so US was in bankruptcy when we gave two rounds of concessions in the August 2002 Chapter 11 filing. The other round was given in Jan/Feb of 2003. On the day US filed bankruptcy in the first case they threw their contract offer to the Negotiating Committee and we voted on it.

I hope you were looking in the mirror when you posted #1 and #2, as once again I am correct and you are not.

But hey, don't let the facts get in your way!
Well my little stock clerk, if you are going to give or take a month I will have to inform you the voting had started on the pay reduction prior to US filing bankruptcy!!! As a matter of fact I remember the gurus on top of the scab union telling us to vote for pay concessions or we will be in bankruptcy, this was the whole plan the company and IAM thought of while golfing in Hawaii..
I saw the mirror and 700's name was shipping away

Wrong,

US filed bankruptcy in August of 2002, the very same day US filed chapter 11 they handed all unions a final offer.

So explain how it was voted on before US filed bankruptcy in August of 2002 when the very same day the company gave the Negotiating Committee the offer for the membership to vote on?

Informational meetings were held with the IAM, Sharon Levine and Tom Roth, then we voted.

So if we voted one week later, 2002 and US filed bankruptcy in August 22, 2002, how did we vote before US filed chapter 11 and how did we vote on something that was not even given to the IAM Negotiating Committee or the membership?

Once again your ignorance is at a very high level.

The first vote was in August 29, 2002 and it was voted down, we revoted in Septmember and it passed. Then in January of 2003 negotiations took place for further concessions and they were ratified in February.

Once again, don't let the facts get in your way.

Better go to the Dr and get checked out since you remember things that did not happen.

Let me educate you once again:

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - A federal bankruptcy judge approved $75 million in emergency financing Monday to allow bankrupt US Airways Group Inc. to restructure its finances and maintain operations through September.

US Airways filed for bankruptcy Sunday, saying it will continue to operate while it tries to restructure its finances and emerge from protection early next year.

A couple of folks I know say that the management is the one who is exploring going back to in-house cleaning in PHL. Seems like the quality of the contractor in PHL hasn't improved sufficient to keep the contract. Now the company is running into political repercussions since the cleaning company is union and the union has contacts with local government folks. Can't bring it back in-house until those problems are resolved. Management has informally sought a little local political aid from the IAM, but the IAM is trying to turn it into a negotiation for other things instead of just getting the jobs back. Probably by the time they are done "fiddling around", management will be onto another solution.

The CBA language says the company MAY outsource line utility, they can bring the work back in-house anytime they choose. The IAM has no say so if the company brings it back or not.

yep and I don't think any tremendous amount of negotiating is needed either.fire the poorly performing company and tell IAM we're restaffing and calling back people.

well at least that would be good news to start with. may eventually they will bring evrything maintaince wise back inhouse and may be recall all outsourced cities! nahh I am just dreaming but good luck

Well if they would come back I would be willing to bet it would be at a reduced wage rate. I realize there is a utility wage rate in the contract, but there is no way the company would agree to pay that number of persons that rate. I suspect the IAM would jump back to the table to negotiate another scale for the sake of more dues monies! Case in point, look at the CWA and the furloughed members, making $18 furloughed, six months later being offered $8+ to return to their same position?

The company has to pay them the wages in the CBA, just like they are paying the current utility in the hangars the wages rates in the contract and just like all the recalled mechanics and stock clerks in the past year are being paid the wage rates in the CBA.

I agree with you 100% but what is preventing the company and union getting together and creating a "C" scale to bring the work back in-house ? Create another LOA?

It won't happen, the wage rates for utility are competitive with what a vendor pays their employees.

First of all you have way to much time on your hands dude!!!! Secondly I didn't mean vote per say, I was elluding to the fact that prior to the OFFICIAL vote the IAM was going around and recommending us to vote for the contract. I guess you just need to use a bit of common sense. Oh yeah then we voted again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Once a scab union always

Spin Spin Spin. Guess you can't man up and admit you were wrong!

You said we voted before US filed Bankruptcy, you posted it twice.

The IAM gave no recomendation on the first concession vote.

Let me refresh your failing memory once again:

Well my little stock clerk genius, if I remember correctly when I gave up pay the first time we weren't in BANKRUPTCY.......now were we????????? ;)
Let me see
1) Don't let the facts get in your way
2) How does the foot taste?

First of all my LITTLE stock clerk genius, you were probably shipping boxes when the gurus (goons, scabs) whatever Freiberger, Mantineo, Belmont, Kline etc were walking around the gates in Philly telling members to vote yes or we will get concessions down our throat!!!!!! Now how is the foot? Why did we vote twice? I will be busy with my LIFE so sorry I can't respond. I have my IBT negotiated 4 days off....aaahhhh

Just like I thought, you were shown to be wrong and you can't even admit it.

How sad.

The members voted and they ratified it, why don't you ask them?

Like I said, you are wrong, I proved it. Too bad you can't handle the truth.
