Be of good cheer on that score. There's a ready abundance of such outrage currently present...and LONG overdue by many years. Your entire position on the Mid Atlantic business is one of purely personal opportunism. You're fine with having them "properly" classified as "furloughed" for your own benefit, and would happily staple them and ANYONE/EVERYONE below your most junior sorts...of which you're apparently one of. If you would care for a small picture of what's wrong with Alpo...You would do well to look in the mirror. You would love to blame each and every line pilot for the continuous surrenders and perpetual obscenities created by Alpo sorts, during their cloistered, and mysterious "processes"....Good luck getting anyone out here to buy that BS.

It's far past time for a change.

What amazes me is prechili's attempt to justify a "seniority list" completely out of sync with DOH, yet, when the Ohio startup buys US west (what better fit?) then watch the outrage when the same rules are applied to them, eight year AWA types riding right seat to two month new hires.

Far better to take slightly lower expectation that will serve one throughout ones career than shoot for the moon, only to fall way short using ones own hot air, but, I guess that is what goes along with maturity and experience, shoot for the moon and experience massive disappointment or take a more moderate course and be pleasantly surprised.

Yep, your right......silence. So where was the resolve? Good question. Lack of unity I propose, this pilot group hasn't been unified since 1989. Just one issue of many that individually couldn't do it. Finally, after so many years we are unified. Which is what you can't understand.

Congratulations on your new-found unity. Maybe you should direct your vengeance against the company instead of putting the America West pilots in your cross hairs.

I see...the west "No fences!!/etc" guys are now suddenly "victims" in the "cross hairs"? Spare us all such absurdly adolescent hypocrisy...

For even one brief moment..kindly get the following: You're NOT the actual center of the universe, and it isn't "All about you". The anti-Alpo sentiments have not been birthed solely by the Nic disaster. The main quarrel's with Alpo....You recall? = The marvelous people and "Association" that have, at the slightest whims of any/all "management"....reduced a once truly great lifestyle to ashes..and delivered so many "triumphs" for us all. Managements are expected to see how far they can sink their teeth into employee groups. Unions are expected to prevent that from happening, and take at least an occasional bite of food back home from the encounter. Alpo's been a toothless and pathetic disaster of an "association" since deregulation.

This isn't any childish issue of "vengeance"...It's a desire to see Alpo gone, and things thusly change for the better...period.

It may seem that way but you're not in our cross hairs. We are focused on all things ALPA. Maybe if you got out of your cranial rectal inversion and really pay attention to what is happening it wouldn't be such a shock to you. After reading all the posts by the USAPA supporters, I am amazed you still want to cling to the ALPA coat tails even after almost half your group tried to do what we're doing now.

It just so happens this current issue we're in is the final straw. Removing ALPA from the property is paramount in our eyes first and foremost.

FYI: In answer to the SBU request.

"The NMB posed numerous questions to the company to help them determine whether US Airways and America West comprise a single transportation system. The company’s responses to these questions are due Nov. 29, 2007. A copy of the NMB document and the questions can be found on the USAPA web site. The NMB has not asked the company for a list of eligible voting pilots yet."

Cards can still be accepted until 4 p.m. the day the eligible voting pilot list is submitted back to the NMB.

No, it's pretty much just vengeance. If the USAPA koolaid drinkers didn't start with the battle cry of "overturn nic!", you might have a case. But they did. No matter how much catsup you put on it, it's still a turd sandwich. Thanks, but we'll pass.

So...exactly what do you imagine ever being done to the west via this horrific, and imaginary "vengeance"? What's the east's motivation for any "vengeance"?...You haven't actually done anything to us...not that you don't want to grab careers aplenty....but, you haven't. There's no blood drawn thus far, so how's any "vengeance" appropriate?

Nic was a great standard for rallying people that were already disgusted. If ever implemented straight up?...IMHO; It would provide for a wholesale operational meltdown on a scale that's rarely been seen in commercial enterprise.

At some future point, we're all going to have to work things out.

It's going to happen at some point, might as well get it out of the way now and move on.

That's a flat out lie. If that was so, then why do your leaders promote DOH with any future contract proposals? Talk about feeding someone bs. The usapa was established for one thing, to circumnavigate the Nic award, and you can't convince any westie otherwise. We not fans of alpa neither, but you can't say this union will benefit both sides. I think your statement should've ended... "and things FOR THE EAST thusly change for the better"

Mid Atlantic pilots were all on furloughed status while flying the EMB-170. The final list sent to the arbitration panel had them correctly listed in a furloughed status. End of story.

That is utter nonsense. The only "final list" that showed them as furloughed was the AWA exhibit of an internal training department list that was in error. That list was compiled with the expectation that MDA would be a separate company operating under the dormant Potomac Air certificate. This has been discussed ad nauseum on this forum.

We'll have to see what the outcome of the MDA lawsuit will be. Fortunately, they have retained a very capable attorney and not Bear96.

Perry Mason was an actor. Bear is an attorney. The two professions are different.

Thanks for the deep thinking. I regret having to rain on your parade.

Perry Mason was a character. Raymond Burr was the actor. I suppose you think that Tom Cruise is a fighter pilot.

All you know is that Bear is a poster on US Aviation.com. She claims to be an attorney, which may or may not be true. If she is, her powers of argument do not exactly place her in the elite rung of that profession.
