Even if it does "survive" will those who work there really have much of a life? Weekends, holidays and shift work for a wage that you could easily match working regular hours?

By the way the mechanics at UAL said No to concessions. At last a group that has a pair. Now to all those who voted No, we should prepare ourselves to support our brothers at UAL because you can rest asured that with the industry, government and the AFL-CIO unions (who dont want to look bad) pressuring the Judge he will come down hard on them.

This is a contest with working people against big business. Big business includes the airlines, the government and the business unions!

Perhaps I misread it...I used external context (i.e., posts Bob has made elsewhere) to derive my translation.
