US Airways Strained by Pilot Safety Drive

Understand what - how you guys keep getting your asses handed to you?

Ah....what a childish move....think someone has signed off, then stick your foot in your mouth.

As I said, NOT being a line pilot, you wouldn't understand. And who says I have had my ass handed to me.....I have seen nothing like that around here. Sure, things could be better, but I have chosen the path with all my LINE PILOT brothers and DO NOT regret a minute of where we are today. But you don't get that.....it's in the blood, which you have none. It's a brotherhood that you just can't "claim" to be in.

Look for you ass sitting on your management desk.

Are we asking for anything more than that?.

More than what? Firstly, you're not "asking" anybody. You're following the lead of an ego-maniacal, bi-polar narcissist on a crusade to take whatever you think you can by brute force. You're only doing so because you think because you have the majority you will be able
to steal with impunity because the smaller side won't be able to protect themselves. That is cowardly. So we can add that to the liars and thieves list as well.

What you're attempting to steal is nothing short of forcing your cancer into another's healthy body. 1879 furloughs after 9-11. That's more than the total amw pilot group. None of them were employed with us air at the time of the merger and they were doomed here. All of you were. Now what you are so simply and innocently "asking" is that your God Damned furloughed pilots with two years of service and six years on furlough come back SENIOR to line holding CAPTAINS. Moreover, whomever won't simply acquiesce to your terroristic demands gets....well,...terrorized by uscaba. You guys have already dug your own graves. You have nothing but enemies hell bent on watching you twist and suffer. You went way too far, your arrogance, greed, and inability to ascertain reality will guarantee a career far worse than the one George Nicalau rationalized was fair to you.

Once again btw, you don't get to decide what "fair" is.

Res,

I understand how you feel that it is being forced upon you.....I wouldn't like that kind of crap at all either. I did not vote for the current USAPA officers and have my own opinion of that constitution.....it needs to be modified.....not drawing such a hard line in the sand.

The differences in the SLI have different problems on about 2-3 different levels.....and I truely believe that NIC or the DOH are the two extremes.....I have always thought the we need to find something in the middle that better addresses the furlough situation, and the senior FO situation on the East.

I really don't think that most of the pilot group wants to steal anything from the other group.....it's all just tied up in these legal knots.

How is it you easties don't see the Nic is the middle. You wanted DOH and we wanted a staple.

A lot of the delays the company is creating themselves. Easier to blame the pilots I guess.

Been seeing a lot of high tanker numbers lately. Buy fuel at lower prices and tanker in the high cost places is good, until you end up with weight capped flights and burn to numbers that cause a delay in push till you get final W/B and then sit out on the ramp with engines running till you get the burn to number to be legal to take off. But I guess in the companies mind that is our fault also.

No we did not add fuel, were loaded just as the release called for and ended up taking delays because of it. Tanking fuel is good, problem is they seem to be figuring the tanking numbers off of expected PAX loads from 2 days before or something. When they end up loading the airplane full and we are 2000 pounds over weight 5 mins before push...Oopsy...uh hmmm, what we do now Ollie?

Not one of my flights, but talked to the crew that had it. Had an a/c dispatched to cancun with adc#1 inop. Once in Cancun had IR#2 fail. Airplane was done then, no way to get MEL relief from the multable failure. Crew spent 2 days in cancun waiting on parts.

Used to never see a/c dispatched international with anything other than minor MEL's. Always had a maint. inspection (daily check) before international departures. Now we see more major item mel's and get dispatched with the last daily check being many legs prior to the international leg.

Move2 said it. The Nicolau is the compromise.

If there was a way to compromise. (The west will not compromise) If the west wanted to compromise and give you a do over. The Nicolau would not be our starting point. You started at DOH and now have returned to that point. The west would want a staple. The furlough situation is the same as every other furlough situation for other mergers. Furloughed pilots did not bring a job and they go to the bottom. End of story. Senior east F/O's? What are you going to do for senior west F/O's?

I still to this day have not heard a single thing that you east pilots would be willing to give in exchange for what you want. Everything you ever say is take. Compromise is give and take. Consession is all take. But you guys know all about that right?

So tell us. Give me 3 things that you are willing to give the west in order to find "compromise"

We have heard for a long time what you want.

10 fence.
All of the wide body flying.
Don't like the 17 year junior to a new hire.
Want something better for the furloughs.
All the east F/O's upgraded before west F/O's.

What is in this for the west? You guys keep talking about compromise. Tell us what you got or stop talking about it.

You get what HP had and US get what they had there has been little if any growth you get what you brought to the show ……Fences put them up and get a contract
Do we get to re-swap the furloghees? Do we get our CASM back? Aircraft orders? Scheduled new hire classes? No. We get the furloghed guys, we get to be furlogh fodder for all of you, an unsustainable CASM, no new hires, no upgrades, no new jets. You ALREADY got what we HAD now you want all the seniority and 95% of the money in a new contract. Two words...F.U.

See you in court for the next several years. Until then, and for years after, enjoy LOA 93.

You get what HP had and US get what they had there has been little if any growth you get what you brought to the show ……Fences put them up and get a contract
Who gets the shrinking fleet that US brought to the show? Who gets the planes added by neither pre-merger company since the merger? Who gets the furloughees brought to the show?

Seems to me that West got the shrinking fleet and furloughees that East brought to the show while East got the added planes and newhires. And now you want a fence to enforce that? Sounds like "We want what we had plus what we got after the merger while you don't get what you had but only what's left of that."

That should just about cover the fly by's.

I asked for 3 things you guys would offer to compromise. I see that you did not list any. So far what you want of consession. I know you east guys are good at that but thew west will not.

The failing company that employed me was not failing quite as badly as the failing company that employed you, and thus, my career expectations greatly exceeded yours, so I should win and you should lose!
