US Airways Pilot Arrested

Sticking a cell phone underneath a MINOR'S skirt and taking pics is not acceptable behavior, I hope you dont have a daughter.

And if he is going to be arrested the police and DA believe he has violated the law.
Whether I have children or not is immaterial. If that is what he did then he did, indeed, violate the law. I still have not read anything about what happened except for on this forum. I'm just amazed at how many so called "americans" can convict and sentence someone with little or no real info on what happened.

Police arrest people all the time, many of whom are eventually released or acquitted.

Reminds of the same BS that was said about the guy who's gun accidentally went off in the cockpit. You know, that guy that might have just parked his plane in front of you this morning.

How a 16 year old chooses to dress is not at issue or at least shouldn't be. It's typical "Blame the Victim" and frankly quite nauseating that someone would even mention it in this day and age.

I don't care if this young woman made Jessica Simpson look like a prison matro,n using a cell phone camera for what is commonly known as upskirting IS WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE WRONG>

You missed the point COMPLETELY. The point, If I may, was that if all the guy did was photograph something in plain view, it is not a crime. If he violated someone's privacy, then it was against the law, and he should suffer the consequences of his actions.

Jumping to conclusions doesn't serve anyone well.

Read the news articles and comprehend.

Read the news articles and comprehend.

That won't happen 700UW beacuse then he'd know that the whole incident was predicated upon the allegation of "Upskirting". After all pilots, being the Gods that they are could NEVER do anything remotely wrong. Has to be the young Tarts fault!

Now it's an open question at this time as to whether the pilot did in fact "Upskirt" this young woman and I'm not advocating any rush to judgement. Once any indictments are handed up and convictions gained we can certainly debate the merits of the case and verdict along with what the appropriate punishment.

What is intolerable is blaming the young woman.

I went to the trial in 2001 or 2002 of the USAir pilot who was accused by a supervisor in PHL of threatening to take down a jet, and making terroristic threats. Sounded really serious by what you read in the news. Went to the trial, and heard from the supervisor how the capt. caused a ruckus, disturbed everyone and made threats. Interesting to view the security video. Nobody even turned around when the accused went through the scanner multiple times. I guess the threats were not more than exasperations at the process of continuing to undress a pilot, who would a few minutes later get behind the controls of the jet, complete with crash axe. The judge figured out very quickly that security does not work together with flight crews. It was obvious. All a big charade, the charges in the paper did not resemble in any way, shape or form what went on. Acquitted. And the company paid for it with big money. So I don't take what is in the papers and news as gospel. How many times have you read the reporting on a subject you know, and find it rife with inaccuracies? If you do take the news version as the truth, then you are not very smart. You have to see the photos. What if the guy took a picture from 10 feet away? I am not condoning it, but it is totally legal. If the camera was up her skirt, then you have a case. We need to see the evidence, or in this case have someone who can discretely view the evidence and who is qualified make the call. Not Fox News.

And just who on here did that? I haven't seen anyone.

It's a far different thing to believe in the US justice system than to place blame without giving people a chance to explain or defend themselves. Are you a sunni or shia? Even the guys at guantanamo get a lawyer.

The key word in your post was "allegation".

You did:

From your posts oldie:

I've seen how a lot of teens dress nowadays. Thongs and underwear sticking out, skirts shorter than miniskirts.

Well said!!! I thought I read it right.

If you've ever had a friend or loved one violated in a sexual manner then you know that this type of behavior is no joke. Having been to that place I find the posts insinuating that somehow the lady "Asked for it" to be repugnabt, nauseating and every other adjective one can think of. Frankly I'm personally offended and I don't even know this little girl.

Actually, no, I didn't say that.

I said that the guy is entitled to his rights under the american justice system. I've NEVER made any assumption of guilt or innocence.

It's a hoot that folks think Obama is a commie, and they want the KGB over here enforcing the law. I read the articles, and it sounds as though the accusations weren't even made by the supposed victim, but by a third party. If the guy did it, he's a perv and need some help, if not he should be released. Either way, he's entitled to a fair trial.

I know this is a little off subject, not by much, but what ever happened to that west pilot and flight attendant that ambushed her ex-husband and beat him up?

I like the bigot that says "pilots think they are gods." I am a pilot and I do not think I am a god or anything else, other than a working class smug, one generation from illiteracy and working underground in the coal mines of WV. I think that makes his/her posts discredited as grossly biased. I am amazed that there are still pilot haters out there after all we in the airline industry have been through. This "alleged" misconduct by this guy (who happens to be a pilot) brings out the underlying bigotry and jealously that is still out there. If this were not a pilot, we would not even still be talking about this alleged event.
