US Airways And IAM Reach Tentative Agreement For 7,700 Fleet Service Employees

GOOD BYE PROFIT SHARING. I THOUGHT THESE TALKS WERE FOR US TO GAIN NOT LOSE. DIDN'T WE LOSE ENOUGH IN IN OUR CURRENT CONTRACT. ALSO WHY WOULD THE IAM COMBINE THE CHANGE OF CONTROL TALKS WITH THE TRANSITION TALKS. I THOUGHT THEY WERE TWO SEPERATE ISSUES.

This email rcvd from some one in PHX Fleet Service:
"Most of the yes votes will probably come from the new people thinking they will make more money. They also fail to realise that the top out is no where near industry adverage. Most won't even vote & I' m sure they will count as "yes" because of the elemination of the 60 day rule but there aren't enough of them to make a difference. As soon as I saw the scope I took a "no" stance. How any union could support a company right to outsource is beyond me. It seems IAM is ready to sacrifice its people at the field stations again. My plan is to return to CMH as soon as this is settled and I will be pissed if I have to transfer back to PHX --- again ! "

THE UNION has some set of B alls to bring this back to it's membership. This is pure Garbage!!!!!

They did not eliminate the 60 day day rule for all us on furlough after losing our jobs

Way to go IAM

I cant believe the IAM would even bring this junk forward, what the hell is wrong with them?

As a Class II America West Station with 5 years...making $10.53. Going up to $14.23...Hmmm...let me see...vote yes and give my family more income or side with the no's in PHL or CLT...boy, talking about being torn!!!

how about 15 years furloughed to the street and getting screwed by a 60 day clause because the IAM has no balls. Vote yes for money but you little stations will be contracted out next and the IAM will not fight for you

To say the least, I'm very discussted abou the 60 day rule. It was bad enough that it ever got into the CBA to begin with, and to exclude those on furlough with recall rights is friggen pathetic. As I said in another post, how many damn people are we taking about here anyway? Will it break the companies back to pay a marginal amount of people what they deserve in the fisrt place. And to think that I was just about to change my opinion of the IAM....Shame on them for presenting another piece of Crap T/A to the membership..AGAIN.

Ya,and by the time you pay for your insurance, your uniforms, your union dues, and the loss of paid sick time you may see 1.00 of that an hr.If you dont have a copy of the EAST contract in your hand you dont even know what your voteing on.Have you been given a copy of that.If you get laid off next week and this is voted in you are IAMscrewed. This is bad only thing that looks good is double time...lol.How many holidays are you giving up do you even know.

They have a built in money saver also, all they have to do is cut flts and your gone, its in there read it.And if you think there is any security in here Im sure some folks will give you reverences to call that can testify they had security one time also.Alot of em commute everyday, some dont, there the 60day victims.

Folks this is a step backwards....and get this........ITS A LETTER OF AGREEMENT FOR GOD'S SAKE.

30 DAYS TILL ARBITRATION TIME,YOU CAN WAIT THAT LONG,PLEASE FOR YOUR SAKE DO IT.

Pay is good, top out at $19, the rest sucks, I say vote no.

Complete Agreement

Gee Timmy, you are off by a $1.15 an hour for top out pay.
Number one you can't vote and you don't have a say. Number two, Tim was closer to the top out than you were with your overtime call out seniority list.....................!!!!!!!!!!! The bones are coming out of the closet.

i felt that those of us who work in the outsourced cities should at least get a vote ion that contract afterall we did pay union dues only to get outsourced

All you small west coast cities vote yes for your pay raise, but it will be short lived. A few years down the road your job will be contracted out and you will be furloughed to the street. The Iam will put on a token show but in the end you will be on the street like the rest of us from the class of 2005. we have been Betrayed by the company and worst of all by our own union.

I'm still still in disbelief that the IAM would even put this forward, just totally blows my mind on the scope of our unions sellout.
