US 767's widebody jet coming in Phoenix

700UW is right - we don't have the spare 767's for any regular service out of PHX now. Whether a 767 would be used for HI service in the European off-season is anybody's guess.

However, a few months ago we didn't have the equipment for additional European service this summer. Now we're getting ready to start service to additional cities.

Anything can happen in a few short months.....

Does US have any FMC Loaders in PHX to work a 767?

Yes, TIMCO Aviation Service repair station facility at Goodyear "Litchfield Municipal" Airport (GYR) where located in Goodyear, AZ, is approximately 25 miles west of Phoenix Sky Int'l Airport (PHX). They can handle many Boeing and Airbus aircraft types including with widebody and narrowbody.

Phoenix Goodyear Airport is located in Goodyear, Arizona, a short distance Southwest from Phoenix. It is operated by the Phoenix Aviation Department. The airport was built in 1943 and originally operated by the U.S. Navy. The aircraft division of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company was located at the airfield, as well. It was used as a storage facility for military aircraft for a time also. Some improvements are currently under way, and the airport is considered a reliever airport for Phoenix's Sky Harbor airport. A new terminal building opened in March 2000. The airport does not have commercial airliner traffic, however many airliners can be seen at the airports repair station, TIMCO. The repair station was once owned by AMS (Aviation Management Systems) before going out of business at the end of 2002, but TIMCO took over the facility in 2003. The airport is used mainly for general aviation, some maintenance, and is home to Lufthansa's Airline Flight Training Center here in Arizona. You probably won't see a lot at GYR, however if you're in the Phoenix area a side trip to this airport may produce some interesting sightings.

GYR won't do any good, they need to be at PHX.

What does a MRO have to with container loaders (FMC)?

I know that all the PHX FAs will be A321 qualified and they WON'T be B767 quaified, so I can't imagine there will be much, if any at all, 767 flying out of PHX.

In addition, both a/c would make more money for the company flying europe/carribean vs hawaii.

700UW:

With all due respect, your posts can jump to conclusions and they are all dripping with negativity! Even when you might know the correct answer, your post's are lost becuase of the negative slant. Sorry, but just how I see it.
I agree, the guru is a bit perterbed!!!!

And that is before all the new european and carribean destinations.

Take a step back, the just purchased three ETOPS 757s for more europe flights, they are not gonna pull a 767 of a europe flight where the cargo pays for the flight to run it to PHX.
You guys haul cargo?
