US Airways B767-200ER widebody jet already went to Phoenix on December 30th, 2004 and then again on January 2nd, 2005.

Charter Flights:

US #9120 (reg. N646US) from PIT to PHX on Dec 30th, 2004 for all University of Pittsburgh fans at Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

US #9197 (reg. N655US) from CLT to PHX on Jan 2nd, 2005 and US #9121 from PHX to PIT for picking up all University of Pittsburgh fans.

Those flights are charters, not regularly scheduled service and were done off peak of the European service.

And I seriously doubt HP has any 747 engines laying around since you have not flown that plane in years.

that is a cool pic. i actually worked that charter #9197 & #9121 that day. how cool that you have a pic of it. we actually ferried from clt to phx then picked up the fans back to pit then ferried the a/c from pit -phl. i think that there was an a321 that was chartered that day as well.

We have sent the 767 charters, the Carolina Panthers took it to IAH, does not mean IAH is getting regular service with a 767, fact IAH is all RJS on the east side now I believe.

And we took a 767 to HNL years ago for a proving run, never started service.

The 767s are tied up with European and Carribean flights, you wont see them going anywhere west on a regular basis, maybe to sub a 757 on occasion or a charter but there are simply no spares to bring them west.

wait until you see the engine shop... oh wait yours got outsourced....
just as you have to think that you views are relevant and wanted, if you don't know for sure, you should refrain on commenting.......

Wrong the engine shop is in CLT on Wilkenson Blvd in the offsite building.

So don't let the facts get in your way.

So your telling me you completely overhaul your CFM-56s, V2500s and RB211s and have a test cell and all or is it just a QEC(I suspect the later).

So tell us the whole truth.

With all due respect, your posts can jump to conclusions and they are all dripping with negativity! Even when you might know the correct answer, your post's are lost becuase of the negative slant. Sorry, but just how I see it.

Back in 2000, I commuted from PHX to Florida. I remember riding on 767s out of PHL to PHX during the peak season.

And that is before all the new european and carribean destinations.

Take a step back, the just purchased three ETOPS 757s for more europe flights, they are not gonna pull a 767 of a europe flight where the cargo pays for the flight to run it to PHX.
