Trying switch to Orlando instead of Tampa because US Airways roundtrip fare is cheaper from PHX to MCO and PIT to MCO better than to TPA (too expensive). PHX-MCO have 2 daily nonstop roundtrip on Jan 29th thru Feb 2nd by using B752 and new A321 (both types from West).

Driving directions between Orlando Int'l Airport and Tampa Int'l Airport
Estimated Time: 1 hour 34 minutes Estimated Distance: 91.61 miles

There are many things this company should do to promote itself during the Superbowl experience. Perhaps they could start by actually being the airline that flys the teams to Tampa.

The PHX-CLT-PHX Cardinals charter last week was flown by.........choke........Northwest!

It was a Northwest A330 charter that the Eagles just used to get to the NFC Championship game in PHX too.

It's official: The Prez is rooting for the Steelers!

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09020/943157-66.stm

"...The Steelers say they have a new fan in the White House and the new president also has one of the team's most recent prized collectibles, a game ball from their victory in the AFC championship game Sunday. He's a Bears fan first, he admits that,'' Dan Rooney said yesterday at the Steelers UPMC training center. "But he's a Steelers' fan. He's said it, and all his staff, they're rooting for us [in the Super Bowl]."

Later,
Eye

When the Panthers flew to IAH for their Super Bowl appearance the team flew on a 767 and the family flew on a 757 and an A321.

And that was round trip as I met the returning 767 as it was going to FRA and had to service it, got to meet Jake and got pics and autographs as it parked on the west hard stand off of B-Con.

US Airways Group Inc. (NYSE:LCC) announced it will use larger planes to fly fans from Phoenix and Pittsburgh for the big game. US Airways spokeswoman Valerie Wunder said the Tempe, Ariz.-based carrier will use Airbus A321s instead of A320s for Super Bowl week and weekend flights to Tampa. That will add 33 extra seats to those flights, Wunder said.

US Airways eliminated its direct Pittsburgh-to-Tampa flights in September.

Another reason to dislike the steelers

The Steelers have always been true to US Airways, even after US Airways downsizing PIT!

Just like EyeInTheSky says "It's official: The Prez is rooting for the Steelers!" as is stated in this article: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09020/943157-66.stm

When Obama was growing up in the 70's, since Hawaii had no team he became a fan of the Steelers, because they were such a power and the team of the 70's. He became a fan of the Bears when he moved to Illinois, understandably. A lot of people don't know that Dan Rooney, who is a registered Republican, saw Obama speak at the 2004 Democratic National Convention and became enamored with the man. He called his son and told him that this guy is gonna be something big. When Obama announced he would be a candidate for the Presidency the Rooneys and the Steelers organization, including the players, backed him and campaigned for him not only in Pennsylvania but in all states surrounding. They know a winner and so does Obama.

You are really going to dislike them after the Superbowl! GO STILLERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Cardinals haven't seen a Defense the likes of the STILLERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
McCain/Cardinals vs Obama/Steelers..................SAME OUTCOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we had been using 321's PHX-TPA for a few weeks quite recently; apparently we've stopped this but are resuming it again?

I would like to thank PHL for yesterday's pretzels and CLT for today's Moon Pies...they tasted like...victory.
