No need for your sorrow here because you see I am a survivor. When you have faced a true tragedy in life you learn a thing or two about yourself and life in general. All those things you mention may or may not be true but either way you will have no influence on the outcome. All your doom and gloom will have no effect on anything except your mental state. You will achieve nothing but your own downfall so please seek help. If you are a believer contact a clergy. Talk to your doctor or call EAP. The help is out there for you.

Know that there's a big difference between our economy going bankrupt for legitimate reasons and being bankrupted by those that have an axe to grind against the U.S.and having the resources to undermine us from within.

The true labor unionists know who the fight is with. It's getting the membership behind them to want to take action that's the hard part. People have got to care about the country.

You have a good heart. Quite unfortunate the 'UNIONS' and our Union Brothers and Sisters do not.
At times, good union folks have to take it in the shorts for the betterment of unions and our future generations. This generation had it's chance and failed miserably.

The question is "why"!

There are numerous theories as to why but I have my own hypothesis. Whether it is true or not, only history can judge (depending on the historian… ).

Of the major parts of animosity against unions is jealousy and envy.

The ‘edumacated’ complain that their pay should be much higher but in their own complaint through the ‘verbiage’ that ‘union members make too much’, they, themselves have diminished their own position, for without the pay negotiated by unions, they would be making much less.

In part, my hypothesis is true as unions are being decimated and the ‘edumacated’ are right along with us as their pay and benefits are getting hosed as well.

They have decried ‘why should you get a pension while I can not’ all while they were getting stock and 401K matches.

How did that work out?

I could, no doubt, continue but it is a fools debate at this juncture.

However, I will repeat what one of my social science teachers statement that I never forgot.

If everyone in the world had an equal education, who would pick the pickles?

no , i'd say you have the east coast mentality of doing nothing .... thank goodness we didn't listen to you and your ilk or we would have never gotten the new contract ... let me share with you a lesson i learned .... if you want something really bad , you have to be prepared to fight for it , sometimes with everything you've got .... i don''t think i can convince the world , althou i wish i could ,, but if i can help just ONE person , if i can change just ONE mind , then it's well worth it for me ...

you speak of despiar and desperation , but we have yet to truly see despair and desperation ... and i don't say that too sound all mystical , but simply because i think we're at the START of a depression and not the middle nor end of it ... far worse is yet to come for our economy , and if we ever hope to keep things going , then we have to start planing for the worst case econmic scenairo .

Thats the first step admitting your faults and the fact that you only "feel" like you can change things. When in reality you cannot change anything and the only difference you are making is in your own mental stability. Power is a delusion and delusions are also treatable. The only power one has is over their own actions.

Arrogance is a character flaw and there is professional help for that too.

First off i have never called for the downfall of our goverment ... i have called for the disolution of our ECONMIC system to be replaced with something new . Don't confuse econmic systems with goverment ... i am also aware that in the near term future it might be necessary to abridge civil rights for AWHILE to mantain order (for a limited amount of time due to the emergency , marital law etc ).

had enough , i just don't thnk you can see the complex picture that i see ... if the dollar devalues and the market crashes unemployment will rise and rise and rise , home mortages won't get paid , banks will go bankrupt etc ... with our goverment being broke , the FDIC is nothing but a myth ... it's like santa clause ...

If the very econmic fabric of our society breaks down you won't have the ablity to feed your family unless you live on a farm had enough ... think , if money becomes near worhtless why will the farmer grow the food , why will the truck driver transport it ,and why will the people in the supermarket bother to put forth the effort to sell it . do you remember the pictures from the great depression of dairy farmers dumping their milk out onto the ground because it wasn''t worth the effort to produce ?

i aim to keep society functioning if a worst case econmic scenaior should occur .

I'm still confused by your posts. In some of your posts you say the US economy is doomed. Then you turn around and say things like....

this country isn't just about YOU , it's about every american that you see walking the streets along with you , and our goal must be to ensure that our fellow americans are fed and shealtered ... we must ensure that people have the ablity to be able to GET a job ...

the economic situation is sprialing out of control , drastic measures may have to be taken to ensure our way of life ..

By definition doomed means that there is no hope. So why even bother trying to take any measures if the economy is doomed? Seems like a contradiction.

Here's another contradcition on your part. You said tell me , what's the more pragmatic thing to do , place blame , or try and fix the problem ....

However in another post you also said in one weeks time i will go on a rampage through the internet spreading my message of that which you call doom and gloom , as i pillage from website to website my message will be the same , MAX OUT YOUR CREDIT CARDS NOW ...
