Union To Amp Up Talks After Dire Report

The employees must decide whether they want to continue to work in the airline industry, because if they cannot work for Airways under the proposed contracts, they certainly won't be working for anyone else. Since our proposals are based on what the LCCs are paying.

"certainly won't be working for anyone else" Thanks for the laugh :p

This is an outright lie! The LCC including LUV BLOW away U’s benefits Hawk and YOU know this. I had/have an opportunity to go there and for personal reasons chose a different path. I know all about what LUV has and does not have. This is also true with the other LCC, the health coverage at U is the pits and you want to make it even further unless effectively bringing down the hourly rate when one must actually use their healthcare. You guys are all about lies and why we are in the position we are in. No one is going to buy into your crap Hawk, stop PMing me and others trying the back door approach. I no longer believe you or anyone at your level. For proof go to the LUV boards and ask, it's that simple. I can't believe you guys, it's beyond nerve.

I find a little humor in this statement.......I see you realize that most mechanics and related are still "confused". But on a more serious note I think you will soon find out that the MAJORITY are thinking clearly when they say "NO MORE"

I post on this forum to provide information and to help those people who are irrational and incapable of thinking clearly due to their thought process obscured by anger, fear, and emotion. In addition, my comments are directed at the lurker who represents the silent majority.

In regard to any personal motive, I am likely more financially secure and ready for a complete cessation of operations than most or maybe any poster on this board, so the fear argument does not hold water.

Do I want US Airways to survive and do I care about the company? Absolutely, but I suggest my portfolio and ability to move on can sustain the loss of this job more than the “naysayersâ€￾, therefore, the argument that my motivation is to keep my job does not hold water.

Respectfully,

USA320Pilot

I hate to burst your bubble but JetBlue has hired many U employee's at a higher rate of pay and will continue tgo do so.........

Yeah I bet the MECHS at US made the 40+ an hour they make at SW. You guys stick to your guns, don't give 'em a cent. Folks don't realize that an aircraft mechanics skills can go other places that pay just as good or better then the airline industry. I feel for you all at US but when is enough really ENOUGH  . Management at UAL is fixing to learn the same lesson that US management has been learning. The aviation industry will go on with or without US or UAL.
