Union Solidarity

You folks are sucked into that whole democrat "The Government is my Shepherd" mentality and I find it nauseating. I work on the opposite theory, "Never let anyone do for me what i can do for myself"

Bob,
Don't even suggest that when thr Republicans are in power that everyone's on a level playing field. There's a reason why corpaorate America and the wealthy can't get their checkbooks out fast enough to donate to the George Bushes of the world.

BOB:presidents don't cause economic crap??c'mon....i seem to remember this peanut farmer who ran up interest rates to 21% and skiddo'd the economy...then ron reagan had to roll up his sleeves .......trickle down worked for many years...clinton inherited it and on his watch all the 'book cooking' got us to where we are now, asides from a few merry pranksters from some sand country on 9-11.l

Hey Bob, here is a great republican doing!

Altogether, it’s been calculated that bailing out the failed S&Ls countrywide cost the US taxpayer around $1.4 trillion!

More info about the Bushes

"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and those are the ones you have to focus on" – GW Bush

"You have to look at the entire Bush Family in this context -- as if the family ran a corporation called ‘Frauds-R-Us,’

George Jr.’s specialty was insurance and security fraud.

Jeb’s specialty was oil and gas fraud.

Neil’s specialty was real estate fraud.

Prescott’s specialty was banking fraud.

Delldude,
If Clinton inherited the benefits of Reaganomics, then what happened between 1988-1992 when Bush I was in office.I seem to remember a fairly substantial paycut and a large number of my co-workers hitting the street.Maybe it was my imagination.

do we need to go into the KENNEDY KLAN?
and how much did it cost for welfare from that great statesman FDR?
we could lower all taxes if welfare wasn't an alternitive way of life and people were on the tax rolls....

Newsflash: They do exactly the same to the Democratic candidates. They donate to both sides to buy influence.

The "Republi-crats" and the "Demo-cans" do not give a rat's ass about you or your standard of living. Open your eyes! Nothing ever changes from the plan, regardless of which party is in power! The masses are kept busy arguing Rep vs Dem or Black vs White or Gay vs Straight... meanwhile our standard of living is being lowered methodically and jobs sent overseas.

What gets my BP up is when people think the Democratic party is a friend of labor. Who signed NAFTA? What a bunch of hyprocrites, they come to labor every four years and dance for support, then they screw the working people of America every chance they get.

GRRRRR

Dilligas, who proposed NAFTA?

George Herber Walker Bush

Who proposed and signed FAST TRACK?

George Walker Bush.

My point exactly..... there is NO difference.

I am NOT defending Republicans. I am showing you there is NO difference. Your patron saint, William Jefferson Clinton, could have vetoed NAFTA. It was passed with Democratic and Republican support. Same for fast track. My liberal Democratic congressman voted for NAFTA. His letters back to me were pure BS.

The wheels were set into motion long ago for the regionalization of "economic zones" and the gradual dissolvement of national sovereignity and it is happening. The architects of this movement call themselves Democrats as well as Republicans.

You are blind to reason if you drink the Democrats kool-aid, just as if you were drinking from the GOP trough. The Dems "occasionally" talk the talk, but they NEVER walk the walk when it comes to making a difference. For every link you care to post about crooked Republicans, I could post to the same type for Dem's. It doesn't make a damn bit of difference. They dance to the same tune.

Until people wake up and take off their blind allegiances and become aware, nothing will change for the better. One day perhaps you will realize how duped you have been to blindly support Democrats and it will be a rude awakening.

...And who pushed, I mean really really pushed, to get NAFTA and GATT passed? It wasn't like ole' Bill was swept up by the tide. He used every camera appearance to pitch both of these treaties, as he passionately believed in them. Don't try to snow me as I was, and still am, a rabid news-hound and was busy seeing this all transpire on C-span while you had your nose in the sports page.

Dilligas is 100% correct: It's an up/down issue and not left/right. Anybody who is a blind party hack today is a fool. It was said we need a 3rd party- Nah, what we need is a second one.

We need a true labor party

Hell yeah! For the past 100 years, the labor movement has wasted time and money on Dem. Party politicians who were already in the back pocket of corporations anyway (corporations have enough pockets to keep both the Dems and the Repubs in their pockets, afterall--gotta diversify ones investment portfolio, you know!)

I figure, the bosses already have 2 parties, the rest of us who do the work ought to have AT LEAST one!

In solidarity,
