Can any one of you explain to me or this board what RTW has to do with the craft and class of the airline mechanic under the Railway Labor Act?

I did not ask whether RTW is good or bad.....

At this point in time, absolutely nothing.

However that could change with the stroke of a pen.

Thanks for the straight forward answer Bob. I agree. One of the points I have attempted make in the past was that the assets of the TWU are used for issues that at this time do not apply to our craft and class under the RLA.

I see a few TWU supporters(jock straps?) on this site harping about AMFA allowing work to be contracted out.
Have any of them taken the time to look at the strong and unambiguos iron clad language in our contract?

Article 1-RECOGNITION AND SCOPE
(2) It is understood that nothing in this article requires the maintenance of the present volume of work.

I challenge any TWU clown to defend this
AMFA NOW!!!

Hey you can't challenge the TWU!

Wait, you just did!

Somehow I knew it would be TWU's fault if AMFA's drive caused a vote resulting in a non-union workplace.....I have heard also the explanation by Malik Zulu Shabaz as to why black on black crime is the white man's fault...just about the same reasoning...

One thing you guys should be asking is why LOCAL 514 took out a full page ad in a NY paper attacking the President of the Subway and Bus drivers Local 100?

Was it a member driven initiative to use your dues money to attack someone in a non-aviation industry?

Why would they spend your money attacking Rojer Toussaint but not spend a dime trying to fight the massive concessions we all just took?

Should Randy be using your money to take sides in a dispute between two Union officials in NY?

Why would Randy do this? Did Sonny promise him an International spot, at your expense?

Since Sonny claims that ours is a democratic union, why not try to have a good showing at your next membership meeting and motion to reject the Financial Report due to non-germane use of the dues. You may want to call the DOL.

Then maybe explore pressing charges against your board for using dues monies for intra union politics. Its really no different than if the Union went out and bought "Vote for Randy McDonald for President" T-shirts with your dues. He used your dues to make a political statement against Sonny Hall's opponent at the last Convention.

Randy has every right to take out an ad blasting and lying about Rojer, but not with your dues money.
