Two More (Apparently Successful) Milestones This Past Weekend

I'm not sure why it is so hard for you to understand that I will send you a file. There is no link.

I've only said that about a half dozen time.

any rational, intelligent person would have gotten the message on the first time.

despite what you seem to think, not everything is on the web on open sites.

but let's try this.

March 2015 AA domestic DFW onbound flights
Flights seats ASMs Block min Min/flt
AA 22,185 2,487,161 2,139,951,674 2,948,006 132

March 2015 AA domestic DFW onbound flights
AA 21,834 2,373,414 2,054,372,370 2,764,977 126

Note this contains American Eagle and all American coded regional carrier flights; my previous statistic did not include AE.

Two more important merger milestones accomplished this weekend - both seemingly successfully.

On Saturday, USAirways Dividend Miles FF accounts were converted or rolled into AAdvantage accounts.  This appears to have gone smoothly.

Then yesterday, DFW and ORD switched back to banked schedules.  This, too, appears to have gone smoothly - at least for day one.  It certainly didn't hurt that, at least in DFW's case, the weather was clear all day, but at DFW and even at ORD, it seems like the operations were posting pretty good D0/A0 numbers.
Glad that is is working out. I was curious how banking DFW would go with it being so large.
curious if AA has hard to hire extra people for this or no?

Gotta love it when a project goes off without anyone really noticing...
exactly. Anytime something changes it great when the only people who really pick up on it are the people in aviation. Hopefully the move to a single res system goes over just as well.

I think the rebanking is working good    high loads to/from dfw and mia     the res is expected to be single ops sometime in the 4th quarter    SOC was awarded just last wed I believe      theyre making progress.   dawg  I believe that in DFW the crews are about 4 to 6 for ramp for flights  but im not 100% sure   Ill find out from some of the folks over the next few days bro

Schedule data shows that AA added 8 minutes on average to every domestic flight from DFW as part of their rebanking efforts.

that added time not only helps keep the operation running smoother despite the more peaked operation but also adds costs.

Evidently the "banked" approach results in more revenue opportunities and synergy cost reductions that more than offset your alleged cost increase for the "8 minute schedule"... Unless Parker is a moron.

The Atlanta based airline could switch to banked operations and reduce average flight times to nearly zero total minutes, allegedly, but right now they are too busy perfecting their solution to walk on water in rough seas.

dawg  AA folks I know say that in the hubs they have about 6 peeps total per flight  per gate   and it works out pretty good for them   of course given the CH11 and the cut backs  chances are good they did hire   and some of the folks I know say that MIA is hiring    this is for the ramp  cant speak for maintaince and related

AA used to have 6 person crews at DFW but that also included bag running, local and online.

let's be clear that the reason why Parker was so hot to pursue banked schedules is to offset the local revenue that WN has stolen from DFW.

Parker believes in banked hub schedules and as long as they can make the schedule work, I have never said there is anything wrong with them.

DL has had banked schedules at ATL and ditched them because ATL is too big. AA has also had banked schedules at DFW so it can be done.

DL's hubs at MSP, SLC, CVG, and DTW are banked and largely directional.

I have never said that AA shouldn't bank its schedules just that it is very hard to do at a large hub, esp. without adding more time than necessary to account for a certain percent of IROPS.
