Trump's immigration proposal

Me thinks you overstate the issue.
Nobody is talking about a permanent ban, just a temporary pause, until all aspects of our vetting system can be looked at and improved.
You only need to look at the recent Cali shooting to know it's broken when radical burka lady can enter as easily as she did.

Not sure what percent of revenue is form ME customers to US airlines, but I would guess it would be rather easy for them to digest it in the current cycle of massive profits.

If it adversely affects ME airlines, I personally could care less, they are all subsidized by their governments.
Methinks you've understated the possible effect on our industry...

methinks
Archaic Verb. A surviving old-English dative construction of "it seems to me" where "me" is the indirect object. Sadly, abused by people who make special trips to Pinkberry.

methinks
A really pretentious and annoying way to say "I think."
Methinks me shall skippeth off to the Ethan of Allen in order that I may find an alternative to this late 90s kitsch.

You really hink the US government can come up with a better vetting process that will prevent that? Lol. Thats funny.

I think you understate the issue of the affect it would have on important sectors of the US economy.  Just so people like you and Trump can have your little hate fest.

You still think that there will be no long term consequences from such a ban, however temporary?  Once said ban is lifted then what?

Two people commit a mass shooting and you want to ban an entire religious group and start carpet bombing the mid east.  Yet almost all the mass shooting/murders in this country are not committed by those people.  Does anyone have any plan on how to deal with that little fact?  The answer seems to be a shrug of the shoulders and a "What can you do?"

So what about companies like Boeing?  Care to comment on that?

Unbelievable, the leftist influence is so strong here it is unreal. I did not know that unionism was so heavily democratic. Yes all muslim immigration should be immediately stopped. Right now. I do not agree that there should be a simple wall built between the US and Mexico. That would be a waste of money. Why not spend twice as much and build a prison along the border. Roughly a fifteen hundred mile long prison with lots and lots of ten by ten cells to double as a wall. That will solve the problems with illegals walking across our border and solve our over crowded prison issue. Yes I think Trump is exactly what this country needs. I just wish he were running on an independent ticket and still be as popular as he is.

No one else seems to have an answer so maybe you do. How do you ban muslims?

Why are you limiting this ban on the ME? Does that mean that Muslims from Africa, Europe and other parts of the world are OK? If a Muslim from Pakistan hits the US are you going to ban all travel from Pakistan? What about a German Muslim? What about a US Muslim?

I must have missed it. How did you say we can ban Muslims again?

Just let them all in, keep the boarders wide open.....that'll solve everything.....right?

You seem to acknowledge that Trumps plan is ineffective and impossible but as long as we do something (even if it does not work) then that is a good thing.

Personally, I'd rather a well thought out plan be put into effect than waste time doing things that are obviously ineffective and doom ed to failure.

Our borders aren't "wide open" at all...

Lie exposed, exhibit A

I asked him, in exasperation: “Why the hell aren’t we stopping everyone coming across the border?”

His answer: “We are waging a war with a shift mentality.”

He was referring to the fact that the cartels operate 24/7 while the Border Patrol, with shift changes, have gaps in their coverage. Border Patrol agents are further hampered by the Obama administration’s “open border” policy, such as the acceptance of the tens of thousands of unaccompanied alien children last year; the suspension of the Secure Communities program in November 2014, the use of “prosecutorial discretion,” and the sharp decline in Interior Deportations from 236,000 in 2009 to 102,000 in 2014.

Alleged gaps in shift coverage =/= "wide open."

The fact that you mentioned the Border Patrol at all should've told you that.

Sounds like they have open spots; maybe you & Southwind should apply?

"Lol"

Have you in place to greet them with your liberal ideology.

They turn around and never come back.

Got it. You said something and you have no idea how to implement it. Huge surprise.
