If Trump puts a 25% tariff on Mexican produce, how much of that will Mexico pay? How much willl the voter who bitched about Bidenflation save? What got Trump elected wasn't Immigration and it wasn't "woke"...it was people who bought the GOP line that the economy sucked and inflation made it impossible for many Americans to get by. They voted for Change....Will this be the kind of change they expect.

If a guy had to put groceries on a credit card when there were 11 million illegals here, and Trump sends evry one back but groceries go UP by 25%, will they be happy with that since the immigrants didn't ever impact them in their day to day lives, but grocery prices did.

Next time you are at the grocery store, look in the produce section for the label "product of Mexico". Compare the price today to what it might be once this tariff gets implemented. On the entertainments side of the white house, Trump closest and most trusted "great guy" buddy, Elon Musk has a plan and boy oh boy are the Republicans eating it up. So much that they ignore Elon saying that "all Americans" will hurt. And all Americans should expect some "short term economic hardships". For a group that voted for change because of the economic hardships brought on my the previous administration, will they welcome additional economic hardships with open arms? Or will they wonder why, if they voted for change, are things still unaffordable . . This one is on the entertainment side since at some point there will be the clash of massive egos, and it should be fun to watch.

We are trillions in debt. We are going ever deeper in the hole. We are taking on nonproductive immigrants our government conveniently labels as "refugees". We have illegals crossing the border at whim. We have a housing shortage, stressed infrastructure, and overcrowded schools.

Something has to give.

The last thing we need is more burden put upon us by a bunch of corrupt government clowns.

There should be and MUST be a limit to United States generosity. It's one thing to be generous. It is another to destroy yourself being overly generous.

I not sure whey either of you are talking about immigration. The only thing I'm talking about that deals with Mexico is the 25% tariffs Trump vows to implement on day one. On all products from Mexico. A lot of people bought the GOP like that the economy was in the toilet and inflation was a hardship on so many....they voted for change. I am only asking that if this happens, what will people who wer pissed off at Bidenflation making groceries cost too think when a lot of produce goes up 25% because of the tariffs. Why should I watch something about the border and immigrants when I was talking about TARIFFS and the impact they will have on people who voted for Trump because teh shitty economy (so I've heard) under Biden. The only thing that our arguments share is "Mexico". But If a person found that groceries were unaffordable under Biden, what will they thing when produce that has "product of Mexico' on it costs even MORE after Trump takes office. Mexico doesn't pay the tariff....the consumer in the US does. And if the goal is to get them to build the washer in the US, the thing will still cost about $400 more.

Let me ask you - despite the billions and billions of illegals here in the US impact you PERSONALLY? What did the impact of "Bidenflation" have on you PERSONALLY. If the nuber of illegals drops to zero, but the cost of this you use that impact you daily, is that a good thing for you?

I'm actually buying a washer dryer this month (so the sale is credited under Biden) because after Trump takes office, it will go up $400.

We've had a problem with illegals for 4 years but I was never impacted by that personally. I don't think any of the others here were either. But everybody bitched about inflation making things unaffordable. When I try to point out that Trumps tariffs will make a lot of things - including food - cost more, they still find that sending illegals home will help THEM personally. Five times I've tried pointing out TARIFFS and 7 times they respond with ILLEGALS. And when they find things costing more after Trump takes office, they will likely blame Biden somehow.

The tariffs aren't to stop immigration. I don't know why you think the are. Let me ask you since you seem like a good conservative....if the democrats pass a business tax of 10% on all products, does the company pay that tax, or do they raise the price of their product by 10% and pass that on to the consumer? Do you know how much of those tariff's Mexico will pay? $0.00. Those costs are in effect a tax and companies pass tax increases on to the consumer. If it makes you feel good spending 25% more on things from Mexico....including food....more power to you. But it's delusional to think that a tariff will stop illegals. And besides, the Mexican president reminded Trump that while nobody wins a trade war, if he puts tariffs on Mexican exports, Mexico will put tariffs on US imports. Everybody pays more. MAGA.
