Ok says you. I have only seen people turned from office work due to the fact that it was already staffed 100% I am sure there people they dont want. I have a list of people if given a choice I wouldnt want to work with.buhbye said:There are PLENTY of people who would and have offered help.
But, they don't want certain peoples help.
What lies were those? What was said about Denise? Lets face it you are pissed at the idiot jw and blaming APFA. consider the source of much of your anger. You can trace it back to the idiot himself.buhbye said:All the horrible lies that the apfa 'leaked' to the membership about the TWA FLIGHT ATTENDANTS was and is inexcusable!
It is the same tactic that was used on Hedges for Petes sake!
I agree with you, but lets face it. D.C. had an agenda, to screw us all. Having the moron jw as our chief unprepared negotiator left us out in the cold.buhbye said:The TWA FLIGHT ATTENDANTS had SO much help to give during the RPA.
They have been through ALL this before. They know what tricks are out there!
Worst deal? You seen what the TWU brought home. Not too pretty. Nobody got snap backs. For my yes vote that would have had to have been included.buhbye said:If for one second the apfa had thought of the membership first, instead of the ignorance and arrogance that has been the demise of our careers; we wouldn't have the WORST deal of all the labor groups!!!
But, NOOOOOOOO we wouldn't want our layovers, per diem, me too's and snap backs!!!
You see you are confusing the PAFA and jw again. There is a big difference. We gave 340 million in AA counted dollars. The APFA, has a higher dollar valus to what we gave up. The APA and TWU values vs the companys were much the same. Sad that what cost us 7 million 2 short years ago was now worth 3. AA hosed 99% of it employees. The FN's are feeling no pain. AA still caters meals for them on all there legs.buhbye said:The apfa is so good at dodging responsibility and blaming it on everyone else!!
Never EVER do they take responsibility for anything !
except what makes THEM look good!!
"The group collectively agreed to give back $340 million in annual
wages and benefits and agreed to work more hours to earn those
reduced wages, part of the company's painful restructuring that cut
$4 billion from its costs and kept it solvent."
Oh please is that what the SR exec's are going around the system saying? Hey there flight attendant, did you know your union gave away the farm.buhbye said:The company is right OUR apfa gave away the farm.
They violated the constitution, stole our vote and now have no more power than a wet piece of bread!!
So don't give the old blame game again...........It is getting REAL old!!
We have all those. Have for quite along time now.buhbye said:But they baulk at hiring PROFFESSIONAL NEGOTIATORS, LABOR EXPERTS, MEDIA.
Is there a f/agroup that has a great pension? No, part of the reason is the late start for even considering such a thing. It wasnt until the 70's that f/as were going to be allowed to stay beyond 32. It was years longer that it would become a important to such a young work force. Still years later that this group found its self working longer, getting older and saw the writing on the wall. Still for many f/as, and I get a chuckle out of some 20 plus year person who claims to be looking at other work. There is less than a handful who could make such a change. Between the schedules and perks they lose to the job market not looking for 40 plus year old new hire interns.buhbye said:There is no scope, really, our pensions suck and that little engine that could, hasn't and can't.
Why? Because that's how they want it. They don't want anyone coming in that is not a total follower.
That don't want any people that have real solutions, real answers.........an independent opinion.
Please.....................FA Mikey said:You cannot educate a membership unwilling to learn.
Yes, and that list better be people either totally loyal to Gibbs or Ward.FA Mikey said:Ok says you. Example, someone has a question or worse some bad information from the local base know it all. I offer to show them exactly where the contract says what they need to know. I hear is one of two things. I dont want to know that, I just need to know how to get out of this trip. The other classic, is I dont carry a contract its to heavy. Yet they open the bag and there are several books and a ton of magazines. This membership is lazy and will not learn, because they have no desire too. They are too consumed in the exchange of gossip, to be bothered with useful information.buhbye said:Please.....................
The ONLY information approved for the membership is a watered down version of the truth or a :censored: censored :censored: tid bit that mimicks propaganda like the company!
The membership may be apathetic but look at our example to follow............apfa.
It is the same scenario, over and over!FA Mikey said:What lies were those? What was said about Denise? Lets face it you are pissed at the idiot jw and blaming APFA. consider the source of much of your anger. You can trace it back to the idiot himself.
Well where were they during this whole RPA mess, this North East letter situation?FA Mikey said:We have all those. Have for quite along time now.
If you would like us to respect your opinion maybe you should use more tack. Your posts always seem to be so emotional. Its so hard to get a feel for what your trying to say because you go overboard on everything. Remember everyone took cuts, not just the flight attendants. Your right about the concessions being a mess but this doesn't mean everything is hopeless. Remember we wouldn't have the good wages that we had before concessions if it wasn't for APFA. I wrote in an earlier post that I would stop posting on Union threads but just wanted to give you my opinion on your posts. I'm not trying to debate what your saying but just would like your facts to be more clear. Believe me you are not the only one frustrated these days.buhbye said:Well where were they during this whole RPA mess, this North East letter situation?
On vacation? Over at AMR HDQ!
Man, great job............completely incompetent, paying high dollar!
Gee, now that seems oddly familiar...............
A camel is smarter than those people!!
We had all that helped offered by the TWA people during the RPA for FREE!
What a relief to know we have the firm of "DUMB & DUMBER" giving us the advice we so desperately need............
