Hey Skywesters:

I know you guys are not union, and ASA is ALPA. The ASA guy is the high ranking executive that represents USAirways in thier beef against America West pilots and the seniority integration (DOH vs. ratio). The ASA guy supports DOH. So what are his views about Skywest and ASA if they were to ever merge as one. Well now you can watch and see.

Being that Skywest owns ASA, and ALPA is pushing hard to get Skywest represented, you all should watch this closely.

There is a big debate on the merger policy and binding arbitration. If ALPA chooses to overturn the ruling (ratio award with furloughs stapled to the bottom), will this affect the integrity of ALPA? Will they always stand behind you? Or is it about collecing dues?

This could have a direct effect of how you will look at ALPA in the future, if they attempt to get on property again.

Stay away from ALPA, your dues get you nothing but grief, hardly any services, and as far a collective bargaining...hah (get your own lawyers for that, don't let pilots do the negotiating.)

Just my 2 cents

Don't join ever. ALPA is loaded with non compliance of their policies.
