Rumor Control at Timco

It requires big balls to push back and say "No,I will not help those who the company is giving our jobs to " The stress of fighting to get your job back would be immense. But in the definition of unionism, it has to be done. The real problem is these guys should not be put in this position and the union should have prevented it.

If you come to the line you will be working 24/7 with prob a slim chance at the weekend off... I would rather work in rule than have to commute any day
 
As someone on the outside looking in, and after reading various AA threads, it looks to me like your union is broken beyond repair.

A buy out would be great but not on the table yet or just hasn't leaked out yet. And yes to answer your question Paul1, Tulsa will do anything to save it's own skin, including killing other locals. Just look at the majority attitude towards AFW closing, no sympathy what so ever. Oh ya and don't bother asking the opinion of any former 530 guys, you might not like the rant that will ensue.

7 day coverage will begin mid Feb. for some. and its mandantory. We have a 1/7 rule that allows it.
but after the Co. has their way, all TULE will be on 7 day coverage to minimize the overtime. That will really piss off the ones in economic bondage.

In the future here will there be turf wars over lawn mowing territory? Rival lawn-mowing gangs may rule the streets to cause chaos everywhere

Will the union go public about the Timco scandal?? Pass out the green cards?
 
It was explained to me this morning that the pilots went out to FCF the ac and asked where the AA techs were. After finding out they were not present they refused to fly. Techs were sent and subsequently wrote over 100 items to be fixed. My source claimed he did not know if the techs gave advice on repairs.

I have some ocean front property in Oklahoma for you Birdman. Sorry to say but pilots don't give a crap what company clears the logbook.

My source is a TULE tech and I see no reason to disbelieve what he said.
 
TUL 1D restarts full seven day coverage on Feb. 17. SMT & TFS off. Local supervision has stated that 1D is 60% understaffed for this schedule. Moral has plummeted.

Whenever the full RIF happens , I am pretty sure that those left will enjoy training those that backfill those positions. I am hopeful that there will be enough retirements to offset the layoffs.
 
So, it's go on the trip or get fired. This is an insult to every union member, a slap in the face! Union busting Co. tactics?
Life at work and at home is stressful enough, and now this happens.
Mgmt may have thought that we would blame the hgr 5 Tech CC, but it's really their fault for forcing him to go.
This is scandalous. Where is Jimmy Little when we need him? Is he a lame duck now???
