It may not bother the compaany or the twu but it bothers me. Let me get this right. We have union techs going to a non union facility to get work out on time that AA/twu sourced out? Is it too extreme to call these techs SCABS? So I suppose they'll be going to China and South America (to third world countries) to get planes out "on time" that cost us 13,000 jobs? Am I the only one who finds this wrong?

Widebody TCCs are a good group of people with a few exceptions but if I were one and management asked me to go my first thought would be who will back me up if I refuse... The TWU?? Where's my ticket!!

The TWU has not stepped in and represented us like they are paid to do and filied grievances on this farmed out work. Until then it's just another field trip. Like it or not. The fingers should be pointed at the union, not your coworkers.

Life at work and at home is stressful enough, and now this happens.
Mgmt may have thought that we would blame the hgr 5 Tech CC, but it's really their fault for forcing him to go.

I do recall that a 29D was filed back by the international. But your thought process on unionism is frightening. So what your saying is that unless the "union" is there watching over your shoulder, its a free for all.

With all due respect, that is poor explaination for something so wrong in many different ways. Even though it is wrong, i was not told it was wrong. How does anyone support a non-union company doing our work and helping them to take more work away from overhaul? Think about what you said again.

for the record, i blame the International and the guys who went!
