Response to USAPA ad in USA Today

Of course they are. All the other work groups love you guys. In your minds! Reality, not so much.
Are you afraid that the east pilots might join up with work groups? You should be. Starting the saturday following the USA Today ad, I have been given thumbs up and high fives from many in many different work groups. They are behind the east pilots and the latest press article about the FAA investigating Tempe maintenance shows that the ad was well timed and to the point. All it will take is follow through.

I have found that, especially, PHX people, when the "on time" paradigm forces them into a corner and I then give them options, now, actually come up and say hi to me. It seems the fertilizer hole you have worked in for years might actually become filled in and US can now actually become an airline player instead of being a "Mesa Grande" on a "good" day.

All it took was for enough "east" players to assert themselves and quit prostrating themselves to the bankrupt "America West" culture. It is well past time for the east to show the remainder of the airline how to take back the tremendous cash flow that to now has only been enjoyed by the "executives".

You are welcome to join us.

You crack me up. Are you an east pilot? It certainly seems you are as out of touch with the situation as the east pilots on this board.

First, if usapa wants to "join up" with other work groups good for them. It would probably help if they stopped slamming the other work groups, i.e. dispatchers, mechanics, corporate security, being the three obvious groups usapa slammed with their misplaced USA Today ad. It would also help if they weren't trying to screw 1/3rd of their own workgroup.

Second, "fertilizer hole"??? What a great analogy!! You see in the agricultural world, "fertilizer" is what is used to help something grow. Absent the "fertilizer hole" USAirways would have been dead on the vine 6 years ago because it was far from an "airline player". Unless of course you use the term "player" as someone who is pretending through a non-reality activity to be something it is not! Oh, and "Mesa Grande", what a laugh!! "Mesa Grande" coming from someone who worked for "Trans States on steroids". No actualy that would be a little demeaning to Trans States, to the best of my knowledge, Trans States never had to be pulled out of bankruptcy by a "fertilizer hole", so I will just refer to that other side of the airline as "the east".

Also, "the east to show the remainder of the airline". By "east" do you mean usapa? Please.... usapa's head is so far up its rear it is french kissing itself! Seen one article supporting the USA Today ad yet? Pretty much the entire reaction from all public sources is, oh, these reneging malcontents are trying to stir up trouble again, what losers.

Finally, if by "welcome to join us", you mean support usapa in their illegal safety campaign, I gotta take a pass. You see I worked for "Mesa Grande", historically the safest major airline in the bussiness, and I can tell the difference between a safety concern and a foolhardy negotiating scheme.

Blah blah blah you moron.

You've been playing tough for a long time with nothing but jack #### and LOA93 to show for it.

I thought that first ad was your libe in the sand.

Can't wait to see how tough you after dropping another 100k for an ad and getting nothing back.

i for one don't HATE the east pilot group .. there's alot to admire really , their tenacity in the face of difficult odds , their ablity to continue fighting long after others would have given up ...

But i'm also cognizant that their trapped in their own "world view " ... i don't think that world view really allows them to understand that our company is weakning , and will continue to weaken ... it may also preclude them from understanding that as the general economy continues to detroiate that it will affect the flying public leading to fewer pax ..

obviously the pilots need to work , otherwise all of them would quit their jobs in protest ... the current USAPA managment is now turning against the interests that it's suppose to serve by driving away the general public from our airline ... in normal times this tactic could be excused , but in todays world , it's inexcusable , and even more so for a union that's not ready to negoatie because they don't even have a combined senority list yet ..

It pains me to say this because it will apply to my work group as well ... but everyone is just going to be happy with what they have ...

hows the company weakening when they just posted a profit their mgmt from dp on down in the inner circle continue to rape the employees w the crappy contracts we got and get millions upon millions upon million yet giving us the new lanyards and so forth? the pilots are also helping to save the company even more with the fact they dont have a single contract and they cant fly together?
