Doug Parker made a mistake by speeding and drinking 3 beers prior to the DUI event. Everybody makes a mistake and he is human just like the rest of us.

What makes me sick about he news media and some USaviation.com posters is that they thrive off of the negative and seem to enjoy hurting or kicking somebody when they're down. What useful purpose does that serve?

I believe everybody should be held accountable for their actions, but taking this issue to such a mean-spirited personal level is like throwing stones in a glass house for a whole bunch of US Airways employees and customers.

Piling on a guy’s personal life should be off limits and serves no useful purpose. For those who enjoy taking “pot shotsâ€￾ at Doug Parker or anybody else who makes a serious mistake, I believe you're a sad, sad person who does not understand empathy.

Come on USA320Pilot!
The guy was drunk and driving a car! This was THE 4TH OFFENSE!!! You of all people should realize how dangerous that is and the consequences of just really bad judgement. Somebody could have been killed.

That collective roar you are hearing in your head is the entire airline industry laughing their ass at your beloved Doug.

This so called "wunderkid" of Wall Street won't be able to scrounge up a $1.00 from a street hustler, let alone any money from Wall Street after this.

In my humble opinion the posters on these and all of the aviation boards are not "piling on." Most are giving their outrage that 1. he and USAIR hid the arrest and 2. It's now up to 3 others. What are you going to do if they find out that someone was hurt in the previous arrests??????

Hey, Dougie brought it up. Who would have thunk? Hell, he was 25-30's with the first 3 offenses. The difference between then and now is many, many millions.

Empathy??? Should we all go out and experience a DUI? Are you trying to spill your own personal gutts out here???

We're all ears, good buddy, spill'um...

I agree 100%
The joy people are getting from this is sick.
But it,s to be expected from this forum. ;)

And let me get this straight...you were there counting the beers. BS. If this was a 20 year pilot (you know, 20 years ago does not count) United Health Care would deny the claim. Piling on? Yep, I know what that feels like...having been at the bottom of the pile since aircraft flew into buildings. Goodbye Doug, and don't let the door...you know
