Doug Parker made a mistake by speeding and drinking 3 beers prior to the DUI event. Everybody makes a mistake and he is human just like the rest of us.
What makes me sick about he news media and some USaviation.com posters is that they thrive off of the negative and seem to enjoy hurting or kicking somebody when they're down. What useful purpose does that serve?
I believe everybody should be held accountable for their actions, but taking this issue to such a mean-spirited personal level is like throwing stones in a glass house for a whole bunch of US Airways employees and customers.
Piling on a guy’s personal life should be off limits and serves no useful purpose. For those who enjoy taking “pot shots†at Doug Parker or anybody else who makes a serious mistake, I believe you're a sad, sad person who does not understand empathy.
