Paychecks incorrect

This is how MESA does every paycheck.. I guess the Real HP is showing it's colors??? Hmmmmmm.

If you received zero pay I think that legally they have to correct that a.s.a.p.

As for wrong deductions and such I do not know.

File complaints with your local state's department of labor. This will get their attention.

In over 27 years I never had an error on my pay check that wasn't my fault.

Now, since the cut over a few months ago, NOT ONE CHECK has been correct!! Still waiting for holiday pay from THANKSGIVING!!!

We never post on this or any other message board although (as many of you have suspected), we check in from time to time to see what's on everyone's minds. Peoples' paychecks are just too important to not address directly.

Someone asked if Payroll was in cutting checks this weekend. Payroll immediately began cutting new checks on Friday and fed-exed checks Friday night to employees who didn't get them or had a direct deposit problem. Those we missed on Friday will/should be coming Monday. Payroll and the Benefits folks are also well aware of incorrect amounts deducted (or not deducted) for benefits and will work those out before the next pay period. But the big problem -- missing or incorrectly deposited paychecks -- is getting first attention.

We're really sorry but getting it solved.

"What to do about the problem?"

Call your departmental/division VP at home regardless of the time of day and tell them the problem.

Email DP and tell him the same thing, cc your supervisor, manager, and VP: which lets them know that you have included them in the process. Also include the Payroll department. That gets them burning from both ends and lights the candle.

Don't accept their answer of you have to wait until the next pay period. If you have direct deposit they are responsible for where your check is deposited and if it is to someplace other than where you directed you may have legal avenues available to you. It is your money and you should not have to wait more than 2 or 3 days at the most.

There ARE government agencies that can "Adjust" their attitude regarding the above.

If you sit on your arse and take it then who's to blame? YOU or TEMPE?

...........................................................

Piney's right !!

First, call the State Attorney Generals office, then get a dozen co-workers WITH BALLS, call the local networks, arrange a rendevous time, DEMAND money from the stations PETTY CA$H, and if no one from management will even speak to you, return to your work area, and DO NOT work !!

Better yet, if management start threatening, GO HOME SICK, and return with a doctors note.

TRUST me, these INCOMPETENT mother --ckers, will fix this in a NY minute !!!

BOS/LGA/PHL should be VERY fertile ground for something like this !!

NH/BB's

Hey Morgan,

Better go check with some current and former Sr VPs, VPs and a former CEO, they do post on here and some of us know exactly who they are.

Don't fool yourself.

well look on the bright side , its not always bad , i've heard rumors that sometimes they #### up in the employees favor and give them hundreds of dollars or even thousands of dollards more than what they should get ,and because they are so incompitent they don't catch those ones .... and of course no one complains when they get an extra G .
Once, they did f*** up in my behalf but of course I told them. What happened? They gave me a letter saying that "due to an audit of your account they found an error"... I was not happy and was not even given a "Thank you" for the honesty. Next time...

anyone know where on the "west" checks we should see the 401k company contribution if we are not /were not in the 401k prior to merger? We were advised per the contract we fall under now that all employees regardless the company would give 3% to 401k.....

Hi Morgan,

Sorry to post off topic, but maybe you could go next door to Ms Shamblin's office and see what happened to the East glassware? She seems to be having a lot of trouble communicating with the flight attendants as of late. Must be busy. Better check on her. Might make your Corp. Communications position a little easier if you didn't have to cover for other colleagues ineptness constantly... Thanks.

I dont have my paystubs with me but when I get a chance I'll take a look and see where it is. Hopefully, we're under the same contract so it would be the same. Mama

Back on topic. I have a few friends in rez who did not receive ANY paychck. They should have been direct deposited. It happened 2 paychecks in a row and due to the employee having direct withdrawal for utilities had to pay overdraft fees. It took 4-5 days to have a live check printed and even at that point the amount was wrong. The employee cld to make sure 2nd payperiod would be correct and although assured it would be done correctly and direct deposited, ran into the same situation again. At least the employee was smart enough not to trust the company and transferred money from savings in case her paycheck was not there. We need to wait for this next pay period to see if things have been corrected. Anyone know why all of a sudden the meltdown? Its very difficult to pay bills when you have not been paid. This should be a priority. Does anyone know if the company is paying overdraft fees for the employees that bounced checks?

Morgan,

Welcome to our dysfunctional little family!! It's nice to have you with us.

It's even nicer that you're stepping up to the plate and addressing the payroll issue promptly.

I've oft stated that the measure of a company is how it reacts when things go wrong. I hammer away at you guys quite a bit, but when you get it right I say so too. These people work damn hard to keep folks like me happy and payroll SNAFU's shouldn't happen. Even though you got it wrong you moved promptly to address the issue and I applaud that.

Just ONE small point for you to consider. US Airways former VP of Corporate Communications was named Chris Chiames! Most of us have had enough "Chiaming" to last for a while. So next post you may want to "Add your 2 cents" or some other cliche :D

Don't be a stranger on here. This is good!!!!

I have to admit that I too was blown away that M. Durrant posted on here. How refreshing!! It's nice to see someone in the Company take ownership of this problem.

Moving forward...Doogie would do well to poll his employees on their thoughts concerning the failures and strengths of his Departments and his Supervisors, Managers, Directors, V.P.s, etc. If the front line employees were given a voice in which Departments and staffs were underperforming, ie, Payroll, Benefits, Employee Travel, Scheduling, Flight and InFlight, etc., then perhaps these Deparments/staffs would get their acts together or be replaced. If their yearly reviews included the results of this employee polling, then you might begin to see some changes in Management's philosophy. It would be nice to see some ACCOUNTABILITY to the employees.
