Anyone represented by the TWU will do as they are told!

If that is a paycut, then you will take it and like it. Anything to keep as many employeed as possible, no matter the cost. Even you real unionists in MCI, this is not the IAM.

Go ahead, after the 03er, there not much left to take.

BTW...Your post has joined Oneflyers on the union BB as "A Message From ManAAgement"

If oil gets above $60, the hammer is going to come down on all of us management and union alike.

Of course if the AMFA were in charge they could stop it, they would fight the company, stand up for the little man, they would prove that AA is lying and that oil isn't really at $60 dollars a barrel, its just a big plot to ruin the union hatched by bush, the Saudis and American Airlines, bla, bla, bla, bla.......

Yeah and fares will fall as always. Why ridicule AMFA when your manAAgement team was too scared to allow an election.

Why add dead people to an eligibility list unless you're scAAred. Please don't tell that your book keeping is that bad. You pay someones life insurance years earlier but forgot they were dead come election time.

Why are you scared?

Have no idea, but if this is really true maybe the AMFA should have hired a better lawyer, but once again, if the AMFA is so great, it shouldn't have that close.

Bush could help the situation by releasing oil from the strategic reserves but he won't. First, because his oil pals are getting richer. Second, he knows that these oil prices are putting enormous financial pressure on the airlines in order to decimate the wages, which is what he wants.

The strategic oil reserve hold something like 14 days worth of oil at current US consumption rates. How much do you want him to release? What if a real crisis happened? Even if he release some its only going to change it by a couple of dollars a barrel, its not a long term solution and the markets no that. The problem is consumption, China and the US are consuming almost as much as can be pumped out, so any hicup in production will create a huge shortage. Releasing the oil reserve isn't the answer.

You'd have a better argument if you suggested he was pressuring the bankruptcy judge to keep UAL and U flying to save jobs.

It wasn't close until the deAAd arrived. Once again, why are you so scared?

It wasn't close until the deAAd arrived.

So was it like 75%-25%, 70-30? What you are suggesting is something that could easily be proved and overturned in a court of law. Surely the AMFA has lawyers.
