Not even a week past the election, and he's already throwing aside his base?...

"Thanks for your money and your vote. Now, go fend for yourselves."

What a chicken chit. Figured it was too good to be true. Another politician, another lie.

I doubt there was much he could do with it any way given a republican majority in the House. The matter will be resolved quicker in the courts any way.

Also, looking at this election, this was the first time a state passed a equal marriage law by a majority. Two states in fact. And MN rejected a ban on gay marriage. Wisconsin elected the first gay Senator. Society as a whole is becoming much more accepting of people as the old school prudes die off.

" Tree.

Correcto. Let the courts decide this issue, once and for all.

As with President Reagan, The 'BOSS' B O ( B O, the first 2 letters in the word B O SS ) should, BEFORE the 2014 elections, strongly hint at AMNESTY, so the REPUGS up for election/re-election in '14 can Go On RECORD for all the people to see !!!!!!!!

Doubt he'll do anything about immigration either, other than kick the can down the road . Same as he'll do with the debt issue !
Sorry Tree ! Know that's the only reason you voted for him !

Reap what you sow..........................Demorats !

He already acted on immigration with his limited power. It takes the legislative branch to change law. They also hold the purse strings. Did you take any government classes in high school?

I think with a fiscal calamity approaching, it would be better to focus on issues that affect the majority which includes gays and lesbians.

Hey, it's been almost four years without a budget being passed, so why worry now?

Not entirely true:

"Congress passes 2012 budget bill to fund some agencies"

""Congress has given final approval to a deal setting 2012 budgets for five Cabinet-level departments, as well as NASA and a number of smaller agencies. The measure also would extend short-term funding for other agencies until Dec. 16 at close to last year's levels. The bill passed the House 298-121 on Thursday, followed by the Senate on a 70-30 vote. An existing continuing resolution (CR) expires at midnight Friday, meaning President Obama must sign the new measure before then to avert a partial government shutdown."

"...The 2012 legislation marks the first time that Congress has approved an annual appropriations bill — as opposed to a CR — since late 2009"

Surprising to see the Just Ain't Right coming out in support of gay marriage.

What next, amnesty for illegals?

You really did not expect Obama to do anything he promised in this campaign did you?

He did not do most of the stuff he said he was going to do in the 2008 campaign, why would anybody expect him to keep any of his promises this time?

Glenn,

Seriously. I think it wouldn't hurt a bit to(like Reagan) have the B O SS start talking up AMNESTY 'before the '14 elections, just to get those GD REPUGS 'on record'. We KNOW what a Pissed-Off hispanic electorite can Do...Right southwind !!!!!!!!!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not expect a candidate to do anything they promise. So far I have not disappointed. You did not expect Rodney to fulfill any of is did you?

I voted for Obama more because of what I knew he would not do. No DOMA. No infringement of women's right and other social issues that concern me.

Neither of them are going to do jack about the economy and neither is Congress so as far as Im concerned that was a wash.

Yes, let's induct millions more into a failing system, that you complain isn't taking care of the people already here......................or do you not care about the welfare of the amnesty peeps, other than a broader voting base ?

And just how is giving amnesty to some, fair to the people who entered or trying to enter leagally.....................personally, I don't like it when someone cut's in line, in front of me !

And now this little tidbit, brought to you, AFTER THE ELECTION, of course !

"Post-election report shows record surge in Americans using food stamps!"

"When President Obama was first elected in November 2008, 30.8 million Americans were on food stamps. As of August 2012, 47.1 million were – a rise of about 50 percent."
