What is President Obama going to run on as far as successful popular accomplishments this time around?

Or you are worse off now rather than four years ago because of failed Bush policies that Obama just can't fix?

It's better now for those who can take advantage of all the government programs like food stamps, welfare checks etc. Everyone else, not so much.

IMO, the 2 biggest things he ran on-at least while courting most of the left- he can't claim; EFCA is DOA, and universal health care is a joke. You can chalk a lot of that up to the party of "no," (especially the latter) but at some point, he should've taken a stand, quit trying to extend a hand to people who clearly didn't want to take it, and listened to the public mandate.

Interesting!

If he had listened to the public mandate then there would have been no so called ObamaCare as 61% of the citizens were opposed to it prior to the vote. That's why the "Party of NO" got a bit more emboldened and began on their obstructionist ways that ultimately led to the 2010 transformation of Congress.

As to the answer to the question posed, my answer is NO, I'm far worse off.

Prior to the vote on what was passed being key here. I'm pretty sure that the bastardized form that went through didn't leave anyone satisfied. That said, I was referring to universal health care, which many people do want. The ABC poll I linked below, reaffirms both that and what you've noted about people's displeasure about what wound up being the final version. I picked this link because it shows both sides, and also just how complex the issue is; it goes far beyond the talking points and rhetoric we were all fire hosed with over the last couple of years. For me personally, I do want universal care, and am concerned with future costs of coverage in it's current state.

ABC poll

As for the question posed? I guess it depends on the metric. Financially, I'm about the same, but as someone that is not ashamed to be labeled "working class," I feel like I'm under more assault than ever.

Seriously Kev? Correct me if I'm wrong but they had the majority in both houses and could have passed anything and everything they wanted! And so they did!

You can't lay blame at the republicans for saying no when their votes were irrelevant to the process as they were the monority. Republicans were largely ignored as the democrats went on a bill passing spree!

Why do you think there was such bitter fight to have an ex SNL clown added to their ranks so they complete their dream of a majority in both house's?

Actually, that's the rub. The right thinks Obama has gone too far, and the middle & left don't think he's gone far enough. IMO, that extends to collective houses as well.

P.S. SNL clown???

ABC poll? What would you expect from the Obama fawning All Barack Channel?

If Obamacare is so popular then please explain the historic losses from the local, state and national level to your party last november!

What are you under assault from? Please share.

Boring ol' statistics garnered from polling a cross-section of America.

Do you actually read anything I write before responding? The version that made it through isn't appealing at all, for either the right or the left. Again, in the interest of trying to appease to all sides, it managed to fail both.

What are you under assault from? Please share.

You're kidding, right?

Boring ol' yet another biased MSM statistics garnered from polling a cross-section of America.

There i fixed it for you. Rasmussen and Gallup showed a much different poll altogether. Why is that?

Appease both sides? Huh? So let me guess what would have been your idea that would have appeased everyone...Single Payer? Medicare for all?

You're kidding, right?

No im perfectly serious. How are you personally under assault today more then ever (your words) then you were before the era of Obama?

What rub? Please explain how the right blocked any legislation when the democrats had the majority in both houses. They were shoving legislation thru at record speed regardless what the republicans said. If they wanted to pass EFCA they could have. But they didn't. And you blame the party of no? Seriously?

P.S. SNL clown???
Al Franken

US NEWS It looks increasingly likely that at least one member of the United States Senate may owe his seat in the world’s greatest deliberative body not to his charisma or the persuasiveness of his message but to voter fraud.

Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Finds

John Pannetta I believe runs the show from behind the curtain if you will. Obama shows up for photo op's and such. Like Bill O'Reilly says, 'there's nobody in charge over there'.
Obama's a front man for Tides, Apollo and the Soros agendas, period.
He equally craps on everybody from supporter to foes time and time again.

Look at what he's been doing the last month.....every other word is God, drilling is cool, and so on.
So UnObama lately.....His internal polling must be showing bad results because he's not who he is.

Do I really need to dumb things down for you? I try to reserve my oversimplification for people on here that need it. Okay, let's try this: substitute the words "widespread frustration spanning both ends of the political spectrum regarding the end result" for "the rub."

Al Franken

(chuckle) Of course...

All I could think of was his former costar, Victoria Jackson, who has become a bit of an apparatchik for the Tea Party.
