My observations for the week.
 
West pilot now calling the widebodies "their" airplanes,  absent anything from any court or agreement that settles the 9 year long dispute.
 
Current Junior 330 Capt at USAirways is a Oct 1982 Hire date.
Current Junior 767 Capt. March 1986
 
Junior 330 Capt. was flying airplanes for this company the year before America West ever flew a single route.
 
#1 west pilot on current seniority list is a June 1983 hire,  the senior 1996 hire is number 594.    By the west line of thinking they should have at least 594 of their pilots senior to a guy that was hired 8 months before their airline ever flew an airplane.
 
PreChillie west poster who is believed to be a 1996 hire thinks it is her right to be a 330 Capt now.....14 year difference in hire date.    And no that 1982 hired guy did not sit furlough for 14 years,  Don't think the 82 to 86 folks ever sat a single day of furlough.
 
The west position has never been one of "protecting what they brought to the merger"   The entire AOL thing is about a land grab of something their airline did not have.     If it had been about protecting what they brought to the merger that would have been an easy fix, and 99% of the east would have zero problems with it.
 
I see the writing on the wall,   AOL is going to be demanding "their rightful capt. positions on the 777"  in the near future.
 
 
For my take on what is ahead?     Protect each groups widebody flying, 5, 10 years, whatever.    Protect each groups retirement attrition.    Other than that we are all pretty much on the same playing field aircraft wise.
 
 
I would not be surprised if in that meeting on Friday with the company and APA that AOL has already floated an early version of a 777 and AA attrition land grab.
Extremely thorough analysis. And you have SNAPTHIS, Ronald Reagan supporter, as were many of us, completely contrary to Reagan's views on entitlements.
Reagan would be affronted and revolted by the west entitlement.

West entitlement? You're out there in left field somewhere. It's US Airways which was at death's door when Parker dragged the carcass  to Tempe. We went from an airline which was hiring at the time to enjoy years of stagnation and furloughs that the East had enjoyed so many years. East management and an East union has done nothing for the West pilot group. They took care of their own. East pilots recalled, West pilots furloughed. You're damn lucky that Parker came along. We'd be flying 330's that would have been parked in the Mohave Desert if he'd left good enough alone and let Airways die a natural death.
 
USAPA is not a union, it's an association bent on destroying the careers of West pilots. Leonidas is not going to stand by and allow this to happen. I admire Reagan as a strong leader that the Iranians and Soviets would not challenge. There is nothing to be gained through appeasement.

By your supposed "logic" then: It was Parker who "dragged the carcass", and "you'se" had absolutely zip/ZERO/zilch/nada to personally do with ANY part of that....so....why is it you fantasize yourself worthy of absurdly inflated seniority over others of your same class and craft?...If NOT by way of some completely perverted sense of entitlement?

Just a question. How does an LLC with absolutely no class or status as a recognized labor representative present anything? How does Leonidas present a seniority list without a court order stating that it has a seniority list of any legal import? Leonidas has the same standing of any other group of USAirways pilots presenting any list to the company, and that is none.
The only labor entity representing the Pilots at USAirways is the one that was elected in a NMB sanctioned and certified election. It is called USAPA.The labor union and the company follow RLA protocol as to the exchanging of seniority lists. The parties to the MOU will exchange and accept lists. Those three specifically named parties are the APA, USAPA, and the company.
Leonidas will present nothing. What will be presented is another legal bill from Harper and Jacobs to Leonidas.

 P.S. Where do "you'se" drama queens get your theatrical training at? Well..or just exactly what IS you smoke out there? Seriously: How could/can ANYONE ever place "Sixty million lives were lost..." within some nonsensical ramblings over seniority integration issues? Such babbling so far exceeds adequate address through normally suitable suggestions to simply grow up, that I'm left at a complete loss here.

Your Vegas base and flying were the reason for furlough. Also if you had a clue you would know that the airline business is cyclical. . Unfortunately you on the west are trying to use 9-11 and our furloughs as your reason for staple.
