Notice To Ibt/iam Mech And Related:

theres no way in hell the company will agree to any of that as they wrenched cost savings and such until 2009...the reorganization plan, which all the creditors and the judge signed off on, is totally based on these savings.so don't let anyone try to fool you that they'll open the contract if you vote for them.
givebacks was part of reorganization, merger was part too.....ring a bell now??
how can anyone change these parameters which would violate the agreement with fed courts??
expect IAM,like it or not to get the nod on numbers alone....
ok I was just curious that's all. i know i'm no longer in a union, but even though i'm at a city that is now Piedmont Airlines, will any of us in the cities that are PSA or PI get a chance to vote on anything in 2009 when the contract is up for voting/changes?

The one thing you have to remember and have seem to forgotten is the Membership at US Airways ratified it, they had the terms and all relevant information two weeks prior to the vote and a rep was at every single ratification to answer any questions or concerns the membership might have.

Bottom line the member approved and knew it was the lesser of two evils. And you ibt people have not lived through two bankruptcies, major disputes and threats of liquidation that US/East employees have.

When you are in bankruptcy the company has all the leverage.

Remember 700 we have gone through bk also and we wern't ibt yet and the company didn't screw with us like taking away anything but a pay cut and shutting down our hanger. the problem with us airways was that your costs are way to high like unskilled workers making to much money thats the real reason your airline has failed and the other big airline except southwest have the same problems you can't have a ramper making over $30.00 an hour. thats always been the problem with the IAM is all the other work groups riding the coat tails of the mechanics to get thier pay high.

Oh boy here we go,lets put it all back on the backs of the over paid workers.Dude I hate to tell you this,I know union brick layers in Pitt that make more money than you do.And have better contracts than the IBT or the IAM so dont go blaming failures on the workers wages.

Piss poor leadership was the problem..get it....We tried to bring work in house,3rd party work the company didnt want to hear it.We got the company back to being profitable through cross training and stream lineing maint, the leadership screwed it away.

Every decent idea presented to this company has been ignored, were still running frikin windows 95 man they wont give us anything to work with....maint manuels still on microfish..give me a break..

and all those so called coat tail riders your talking about, they can upgrade when they get a chance and move into maint, you cant even put yours in your contract,so what union really cares.

kinda funny there there dude...... i saw 18 years there and many givebacks as a mech.......i never made no $30 an hour...yo foola boosheet ...........😉

A ramper at US never made $30 an hour.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

If it's not the companies idea, then they don't care how much it will save or decrease the cost.
