Maybe they're going to bring back the Attendance Managers that we flight attendants used to have. Their only job was to harass you about your calling in sick. "What? You have cancer? I know several flight attendants who are going through chemo right now, and they are still coming to work on a regular basis. If you move to First (or Second or Third) Written Warning it will become a permanent part of your record. You need to save your sick time for when you are really sick."So the company is encouraging calling in sick even if your not?
Amen to that E. In fleet where I work, the harassment has really ramped (no pun intended) up with drug tests, hearings, the threat of cs policy change (for the worse) micro managing etc...all while the union from the local to the international stands at arms length and says "changes are coming and we ain't gonna like them".eolesen said:All the more reason to put this in the unsubstantiated rumor category.
I wouldn't imagine this is a move that Parker would want to embark on with a representation election on the horizon, and doing so would just ensure a "yes" vote.
Or maybe the new management just doesn't care if they vote "yes" since being union represented hasn't really stopped management from doing whatever they want whenever they want to.
Shame on the TWU for letting SC being a privilege not a contractual articleAANOTOK said:Amen to that E. And guess who they will be coming after next???WeAAsles said:Was told by an MOD that they will be cashed out at the end of the year at $8 per day that's in their bank. They will get 8 days per year starting next year that they have to use or lose. With that they'll be given Long Term and Short Term disability insurance. Forgot to ask if they'll have to pay for that or not? He didn't say anything about Non Union people and I was told the day before this thread was started.
Lower management is always the testing ground. I'm not really concerned about it when it comes to us right now. Say the company pays for Long Term and Short Term and it's a 100% payout after the 8 days? And just because low management is getting hosed with an $8 per day payout doesn't mean we're jumping on that bandwagon.AANOTOK said:And guess who they will be coming after next???
