No Free Coffee on US Airways

I asked the crews yesterday on both our clt afternoon and the last phlly flight and both crews said they had yet to actually sell anything. last nite the mainline jet came to our city for an ron and they said they had not sold anything but also just as the phlly crew said, they feel stupid by saying that usairways is selling drinks
 
Honestly.....I am less opposed to the concept of selling beverages than I am to the lack of information which US provides to its customers at the time they book their flights. ALL ancillary fees should be disclosed upfront during the ticket purchase process (and not in fine print), so that consumers can make informed decisions. As long as people know what they are buying, it is their choice whether or not to make the purchase......or choose an airline with a slightly higher ticket price, but more inclusive of the services which they will actually be using.

The front page of US.com has a link to the information on Baggage Charges and All NonAlcoholic Beverage Charges. I think its ridiculous to have every single *possible* charge listed on the printout that you'd get. Many people dont even read what IS on the current printout regarding flight/time/date info and I doubt that many would even pay attention to a notice of additional charges. Now, if the info wasnt on the website, I'd have a problem with it, but they each have their own page if the customer wants to read it.
We wont even discuss nonairline travel websites and their info listed (or given out over the phone.) :down:
 
Does anyone know how Coca-Cola's contract works with US Airways? Handing out complimentary soda's is one thing, charging $2.00 a can seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen if Coca-Cola isn't profiting from this decision somehow.

Sorry, BOB has been around for longer than "America West Airlines". In almost every case, the initiating airline has been on the cusp of failure, and, normally does so.
 
Well it looks like Sherri Shamblin has been called out... literally. A PHX based FA has been removed from line pending investigation for giving out customer relations email and naming Sherri Shamblin as her supervisor over the PA on a long haul flight into PHX. Evidently several passengers were giving the crew a hard time so this PA was made at towards the end of the flight. I flew with this woman several years ago and she is great to work with and very professional. It seemed that there was 2 positive space employees on the flight that reported this to SS and in turn called Melody and had this FA removed badge and all immediatley.
 
Nah! I would just "yell" right back! I know enough sign language to get the point across! :lol:

I wish her a lot of luck and I sure hope the union will back her. After all the customers are p!$$ed off that they have to sell beverages. I though dont understand the need to announce it over the PA system but otherwise I do wish her luck.

While checking some PBTs, FLIFO, Flt Avail. today at an unnamed station on the Eastern starboard wearing my US Jacket I've been insulted...asked moronic questions...even complimented...oh did I mention insulted? Stupid Passengers but that's a catch-22 because I wore something with the US Flag on to avoid questions from US employees when I have the CSS' approval.

Insults Heard
-Lowlife scum robbing them of $ with the new Baggage Fee and Beverage Sodas, comments that Southwest doesn't do this...all I could do was nod sympathetically and think "god what a d!ck".

Then of course...
-Excuse me where's Gate 40?
"Uhmm *points finger to the podium*"
-No Way I just came off this flight
"Uhmm...*nods my head and points up to the Gate numbering over the door"
-So is flight XXXX leaving here?
"*sighs* Yes Ma'am"
-Is there First available?
"*points to the sign...First is checked in Full*

Sheesh...

and the compliment from one of these octogenarians who asked where my dad was and if it was Bring your kids to work day...Damn and I want to work at XXX city again *whistles*

Years ago some of the Liquor was given to the Airlines for free as protect placement even though that was sold on board.

Idiot! Im not happy with the whole thing either, but cmon! That was pretty bad.

Well, that's one hell of a scare tactic.

F/a's have every right to give out customer relations email including the SS's.

But the pa was a no-no. She'll be back.
 
I think I'm gonna be one of those pesky passengers tomorrow. I'm flying on a $950 r/t PHL-CLT (couldn't avoid it). I think that qualifies me for a free glass of water!
