Another yawner from Cleary.

All bark no bite. Looks like ge played chicken with the company and lost.

Smart move backing down. We would have seen alot of easties on the street by the end of the year.

As far as I'm concerned Not wearing the company lanyard will send the same message as wearing the yellow lanyard.

I agree Bob, but most are sending the new one back to Tempe. This management group is really uniting this pilot group, too bad for all the wrong reasons. I would be absolutley embarrassed if I was part of this management team.

If I had a spare I would give it to you but it seems like the more pressure the company applies regarding the lanyards the more popular they are!

It's funny how the company is worried about lanyards and arm bands, but turns away when they see people still wearing america west uniforms!

I don't think anyone who has followed this debacle thinks it's really about lanyards and dress code. However it is about the Dress code if it's not enforced equally across the board.

so apparently the company calls up China and tells them we need 30,000 of the cheapest lanyards you have, I know one person's whose broke in less than a day. lol what a joke just cause some lanyard puts a burr under their saddle.

Have to wonder if there will be someone in the CP's office today to give me my lanyard.

As expected Cleary and gang blinked. All of that bluster and in the end, NOTHING. Cleary saw his weak leadership demonstrated by the east pilots abandoning the yellow lanyards in favor of their jobs. Cleary told everyone to take the yellow lanyard off.

Another weak threat that failed by the usapa leadership.You east guy really should be embarrassed by Cleary and gang. The company just spanked usapa.

No. I think he looks foolish and weak because he said to wear them and now has to back off and reverse himself. Cleary came out defiant and even amended the worthless suit in NY. Cleary thinks he is a great leader that everyone will follow. When it turns out that most pilots took off their lanyards even after he said to keep wearing them he finally realized that they are not following him. So he had to run in a different direction and say see. Follow me this way. It is a weak showing when only 10% of your pilots follow the presidents advice. How is that unity.

On the other hand AOL said take off the lanyards and badge backers and before the end of the week, majority compliance. Leadership vs. dictatorship.
