"New" Improved Galley Packouts

I am sure the East passengers are enjoying the party cups??

....why yes, yes I am. I'm placing them over my ears. If I have to listen to those NSYNC BOYS singing idiot, over emoting xmas songs one more time, it will be too soon....groan!!!

Though I like the bigger cup due to the fact that MOST not all but MOST people on the east DO give the can on a longer flight like say....PHL-MCO of 2+ hours they are a bit much on an express beverage service. When you have to rush out on the 737 to do a quick express service off the 9hole tray with those big cups? Huh uh. I just don't see the cost savings as SkyHigh stated. Cut the cream but now the whole system is using a bigger cup to use more of the soda? THAT is precisely the kind of DECISIONS that piss people off. It's not rocket science. I don't care about the cup size but it does and WILL use a lot more soda when they make their way onto the 737 where you DONT have carts full of extra beverages. Your lucky it gets catered in some places.

A low fare carrier we certainly are not. I would NEVER use that line with a passenger anyway. How do we know that the passenger complaining about powdered creamer (generic at that) didn't just purchase a walkup ticket for $800.00? As for the setup mods you suggested like lining drawers with napkins and cutting the tops off of air sickness bags.....WHY? Why should we have to do this and TRY to accomplish setting that wacky cart up in three minutes? What was wrong with the old cart toppers we had made up that you just set on top and out you went? I don't care much about what is IN the cart. It is how the cart works on top with ice in the top drawers. Also, why do other airlines seem to do fine with it? On top of all the BS involved with this cart it just looks an absolute MESS! ! ! ! I say back to the drawing board.

Why Not Use That Line. Airtran F/A's Say On There Approach " Ladies And Gentleman, In Order For Airtran to Keep Offering Lower Fares, We Need Your Help In Cleaning Up The Aircraft For Our Arrival and Quick Turn" Ect..Ect.. So Yeah..I'd Use That Line In A Heart Beat!!

Tell me about it......the very first time I heard that video being played during the boarding process I swear my tension level increased about 90 percent! I was standing up front looking at the expressions on passengers faces and I have to tell you.....they were annoyed and aggravated! Why couldn't the video have nice relaxing Christmas music with pretty scenery? Boarding music has been substituted on my flights!

Yuck! Powdered cow.

In the old USAir days it used to be called "Dairy Dust"!

I brave a cup of coffee every now and then. I have used powdered creamer before and it's no pleasure. Low cost is one thing but c'mon. That stuff isn't even a brand name. It doesn't disolve. But hey, it saves millions. You'll appologize for it. So what's the NEXT exciting change about our onboard product. Since ALL seem to be positive up til this point. The most recent inflight newsletter said to stand by for exciting changes comming. Oh I bet the'll be real doozies.

I'm waiting for the day when they start putting billboard type advertising on the overhead bins like a city bus or something! I just know that is something that Tempe will come up with next!

Better than the film of the hundreds of fingers pointing upward in the rain. Now THAT was scarey.

Coffee drinkers demand preferred ingredients now. That's Starbuck's success.

The reason Starbucks is such a success is because they have the public paying $5 for a cup of coffee that costs them pennies to make!

Heard that they are looking at beverage carts that will allow for advertising on the sides so when its parked at a row, the passengers have a nice advertisment to look at and read!

sky high states: Interesting analogy, but if the coffee was BAD, they wouldnt be successful. "They cater to customer NEEDS"............ie. I'll take a no whip, grande moche, extra hot.

Dont you have passengers change their beverage order when they hear you dont have skim milk? Sweet-N-Low? etc..etc.
This move is going back almost 15 years to the dry dairy product, few like.

We thought that Maureen Dean was leaving us on the west. That is true evidently. She is leaving because she was promoted to head up International catering in PHL. Can anyone confirm this?
