Ya, know, when I read all of this about the New Plan Forward, and Mr. Lakefield ,and Mr. Bronner, and the Team is still the same, and all that they have been saying..... I get a picture in my mind of a bunch of (edited) scrambling around the Board Room and their CCY offices, when not playing with themselves are scratching their heads.
:D You go kt!

We were told by management that the airline may get more airplanes, but that the "plan" that will be presented has modicfications to the contracts that would NOT create a "recall" of employees...

Have anything to say about that FACT, USA320???? Don't mislead by posting articles that only spell half truths.
Seems USA320 always seems to stretch things to fit his way of thinking even though his way may not paint a totally correct picture. Thanks for keeping him straight Pit!

Your extreme left position as the "Socialist" should understand that anything is possible right now.

Anyone that gets in the way of the demigods running the show and puts up barriers to buffer the UNNECSESARRY slaughter of employees lives by such men as Bronner is labeled an extremist. Your handle indicates a supreme deity of the ancient Greeks. You must believe we the common folk MUST submit least we are extremist, when in reality you and your mind set are he driving mechanism of the socialism idea you loathe.

You cannot arbitrarily change contracts in Ch.11, this was changed after our "friend" Frank Lorenzo used this tactic. Now they must be negotiated in a fair, to a judge, fashion.

For U management to threaten, that the plan will go forward without the employees, seems very shortsighted and IMHO, almost stupid. What is going on over there, Bronner wants you to trust Lakefield, yet he seems very quick to attack the very people, that hasl made U great. One must truly wonder, who he learned his people skills from, Siegel perhaps or maybe it was vice versa.

I posted this awhile back when Zeus first appeared. I will post it agian.

Zeus: The chief god of the ancient Greeks. He was the ruler of gods and men and the god of the sky and weather, son of Cronus and Rhea, and the husband of Hera. The Romans called him Jupiter.

Exactly. Hey, 700 or Delldude, can either one of you put Seigles and Lakefields bodies together side by side and transpose their heads?

The supreme deity of the ancient Greeks, a son of Cronus and Rhea, brother of Demeter, Hades, Hera, Hestia, and Poseidon, and father of a number of gods, demigods, and mortals; the god of the heavens, identified by the Romans with Jupiter.

I think you're trying to break the 1000 mark.....

Pretty soon we all will have plenty of time to post :p

   Hey, Cav, I am trying to play catch up and outdo you.

Oh, my golly, I just realized I have posted over 700 times, what is wrong with me???
I know!! It is that new Reserve Time Balancing Crap. U is paying me to stay home and not work.

BTW: In a former life I had a German Shepherd dog named Zeus, who snapped at my son one day. Guess where Zeus is now???? B)

How can U prepackage a BK filing when the ATSB convenants don't permit a BK?
It can't.

The ATSB will not allow a "prepackaged" bankrupty that is specifically designed to "shed gates" or "abrogate union contracts." S1113 exists for a reason, and the board and the courts are not going to allow US to pull a Lorenzo. It's simply not going to happen.

So long as there is enough equity available in a Chapter 7 filing to pay the ATSB and Bronner, this is the only bankruptcy filing that U will see until the balance of the ATSB loan is repaid. Any postulation otherwise is simply fear mongering.

And Zeus's favorite daughter was Athena, Goddess of War and Defender of Peace,

which is my Avatar
:D

There is a rhythm to his "madness".

If they're serious about growing the airline; rather than spending money on new jets, why not return some from the desert? The AeroTransport Database shows 23 tails parked that are compatible with the current fleet. It also shows the current active fleet at 271. Whatever happened to the 279 minimum?

Not only that, but the cost of living in AZ is WAY lower than here on the East Coast.
Comparing Phoenix to Pittsburgh, Phoenix real estate is about 20% higher.

Just FWIW.

According to one ALPA MEC Officer, "Lakefield is the anti dave. I'm 100% certain he will change the corporate culture for the better. I'm not saying he's not going to come after us. But when you have a deal you'll have a deal. The new-new plan will be out soon, (May) we'll all have to see what it is."

Respectfully,
