Mechanics vote

The company during transition negotiations want the right to schedule US/East Aircraft to be worked on by HP AMTs, the IAM has refused as it is US/East's AMTs work.

The IAM does not cave, the membership voted to accept the final offer and not take on the company, so everyone must live with the results.

And to snafu, if you want peace and harmony tell the ibt to stop raiding the US/East Mechanic and Related.
Ya got some new "dancin'" shoes for Christmas?? Still avoiding the questions.

Isn't the IAM the members? So if the members caved, the IAM caved.

I presume that when you say "raiding," you are referring to the card drive. And what is wrong with that? Shouldn't the members have the right to vote? And as you stated, the membership voted so everyone must live with the results. Sounds like the same thing. Vote if you wish and live with the results. It appears that the IAM is a bit put out with the challenge. If things with the IAM were so good and the members happy, there wouldn't be too much to worry about. But maybe the members are wanting information so that they can vote and live with those results.

Peace and harmony are your words. This is one company now, whether anyone likes it or not. So why not meld all the children of this recent marriage and become a functional family and strive for success??

No one at any legacy carrier is happy.

And your wages, benefits and workrules were/are so low that HP did not even have to get concessions to get their ATSB loan.

We at East had great benefits, wages and workrules before the industry went into the tank, can you say the same?

Even with three rounds of concessions our scope is still far superior then yours. Scope=jobs and that is what it is all about.

With all that has gone on at east with all the work groups being pillaged, with Glass, Hemenway and Crellin all with the new management the East will never trust Parker and the west.

Hate to say it but it is the truth.

You are correct about the west wages. And that is what your bankrupt contract is on a level playing field with....the low cost carrier. Those at the west have had the low cost mentality for a long time and I think you would have to agree, that this is the direction of the entire industry.
Each and every employee had a choice whether or not to stay or to go. Same as it is right now. This new airline IS a low cost carrier and that hasn't been kept a secret by any means. The employees are going to have to accept that or else move on. It's NOT going to change. The east has already been through this a number of times and they have chosen to stay. There must be a happy medium for the employees and the company. Or else the whole pot will be taken to another bankruptcy court and be emptied again. And you said, the industry is in the tank and it's not going to be the way it used to be.........good times = good benefits and wages, bad times = bad benefits and wages. The division between east and west is NOT going to have any positive outcome. Isn't it time for the employees to come together from the east and the west and the IAM and the IBT and all the other unions involved, and put forth a united front to the company?? Instead, there is only a number of small, weak groups that are fighting and bickering amongst themselves and there is NO power in that. An alliance is needed.

Trust is earned. People given the right guidance and having the proper controlls placed upon them, can do better. I know very little of the old east management but I am cautiously optimistic about the DP and his leadership abilities.....even with the old east involved. Try to be at least a little bit optomistic. Let the new management team prove themselves.

The only thing they have proved is they are still anti-worker, ask the FAs, ask the AMTs, nothing will change especially since Glass, Hemenway ( the masterminds of pillaging the employees) and Crellin are on the new management team.

Only the places and some names were changed, not the kill labor mentality.

700, I was not aware Jerry glASS was still slithering around.

At least he doesn't have his partner in "slime" to run to anymore, The dis-honorable bankrupcy judge mitchell. ;)

The IBT IS coming DELL so let the IAM call and we will show our cards.
ROYAL FLUSH AND THE IAM IS OUT LOL.
The longer the NMB takes the better (MORE CARDS EVERY DAY COMING IN).

Ok lets see you all say the ibt is coming yet no cards have been filed with the NMB to call for an election and every week I get something in the mail from the ibt begging me to sign a card.

Don't count your chickens before the eggs hatch.

See if you knew how things worked what the NMB ruling means nothing about the ibt begging for cards, you can solicit cards anytime you want.

They do have a one year time limit on them.
