Sure you can, you have been in negotiations for two years and still don't have a TA.

You are dealing with Hemenway now, and they know the NMB will rule in favor of the IAM and they are playing you.
No the USAIR merger....think about it?

Time for the union workers at the NEW US AIRWAYS to "flush" the IAM
PULL THE YELLOW HANDLE MR-700 AND WATCH THE SHI@ GO BY BY (AKA THE IAM)

Funny how you ibters cant even have an intelligent debate, the only one out of you that can is Gonzo.

I hope you fix planes better then you spell, lol!!!

Holy smokes!! 700, you have said a zillion times that it was the judge that did all this to the company and the contract, not the union. But now you are holding that judge abrogated contract you currently possess as the greatest thing there is. Make up your mind FFS! Do you honestly think it's the best?? Would you bet your job on that?

This NEW company is NOT in bankruptcy. The IAM contract, as you have stated another zillion times, is set in petrified dung until 2009. The IBT contract is under negotiations and has been and continues to be negotiated. As it appears to me, the door is at least cracked open for a better agreement. The IAM side appears to have a locked door.

And if you are so confident about the IAM numbers, please tell everyone why the NMB has NOT made a ruling on single carrier status?

And yes, I am concerned about all this. As you all well know by now, I am not currently in a union but the possibility exists, depending on how the cards (union cards :D ) fall, I, along with many of my co-workers, may be acreeded into a union. Question: what kind of contact and information can we expect from the IAM, if any??

Airwoman,

How many times do you have to be told the samething?

A change in representation does not change nor open the CBA.

Even if there was an election and the ibt won, they would service the current IAM/US CBA until it is amendable.

Is that so hard to comprehend?

Yes, they have. But read between the lines regarding the press releases and the merger. This merger has been in the works for quite a while......it was put on hold once and then brought out again.....sometime after the 2nd bankruptcy. It was like tracking a wounded deer for DP and his associates and the "business plan". Do you think, that maybe, with all the behind the scenes activity, that the common employee was not privy to, may be a reason that the IBT contract is still under negotiations??

Are you saying that Hemenway is doing something illegal and that the NMB will do what he says?? I would think that if that was true, the ruling would've been made by now and to the best of my knowledge, it hasn't been. Sure hope you have some facts to back that up. Or are you confusing facts with rumors. Don't let facts or rumors get in your way.

Hemenway knows the NMB will rule on single carrier status for the IAM.

He has no incentive to negotiate seriously with the ibt.

I have said nothing about him doing anything illegal, dont put words into my posts.

Facts are a change in representation does not open a CBA nor will the ibt cba replace the current CBA.

As you slam others on their spelling.....look at yours. Remember the thing about glass houses and throwing stones?

You can quit telling me the same thing over and over because until it is PROVEN, I will not accept it as fact. Your opinions are just that.....opinions. And you know the saying about opinions!!

So now PLEASE answer my question. What contact, factual information can I, as a possible future union member, expect to receive from the IAM???

Darn it....90 seconds is a long time. :D

How does Mr. Hemenway know that? How do you know that he knows that? I didn't put words into your post. I asked you a question.

So then was is a transition agreement?

Aren't the stock clerks on the east side under the IAM Mechanic and Related? And on the west side, they have a different union and their own contract? Is this correct? Maybe it's a fear of change with a new union for some because they feel/felt secure in that situation....no matter how bad it got and how much was taken away. Don't know for sure........just speculation on my part.

Awa Contract tag your it lol

OK. I got your tag. :D

Guess we'll have to wait for 700 to get back and answer the questions.

So I guess it's tag to 700.

Gee, cant even eat dinner?

The Stock Clerks at US/East are under the same certification as mechanics and utility and under the same CBA, top out pay is $16.50 at east at west what is it like $10.00?

And you better get use to the IAM/CBA as you will fall under as soon as the NMB grants single carrier status.

And Airwoman there are precedent setting cases.

AMFA's win at NWA, WN and UAL the CBAs were not renegotiated until amendable dates per the RLA.

PSA being merged into US the ibt contract went bye bye and the mechanic and related were transitioned to the IAM/CBA at US.

Piedmont/US Airways Merger, both were IAM different CBAs, both groups placed under the US/IAM CBA.

PFAA ousting the ibt at NWA, PFAA serviced ibt CBA till it became amendable.

Go look them up on the and you see nothing but the facts.
