Mec Meeting To Recall Teddy

Cripe, Zeus so bitter are we? Zeus is clearly full of limes and is about to get a taste of some unemployment lines. I know it doesn't rhyme but WTF!

Yes it does! :p

By saying "our labor relations" in connection with an internal AFA issue, aren't you admitting that your are attempting to corrupt the internal workings of the union? Isn't there a law against that?

Thank you, hp fa, for beating me to the punch.

The arrogance is stunning, isn't it?

Ya know, the more I think of it Teddy may well have a very good civil cause of action against Zeus and the rest of management, as well as standing to bring a complaint to the NLRB as the real-party-in-interest. If you didn't like her before Zeus, you may grow to really hate her soon.

Zues,

You seem to be a bit cranky...ya needing your enema kit back???

I'm sure Pineybob wouldn't mind making an overnight package delivery.
That is if ya said PLEASE! ! !

hpfa seems to be a trouble maker posting on our boards trying to stir the pot. I think that Teddy has done a great job and I have spoken with one of the LEC pres and management is not involved in this recall. Until we are merged, mind your own business as this is our battle and not yours. Since you are new to our boards, pineybob is always adding his 2 cents about every union problem and he has no direct knowledge of the events. He likes to butt in on the labor relations issues at our company. While the afa issue is internal, it still impacts the labor relations environment.

I was referring to Zeus, who it is said is a member of management. I was not addressing anyone who belongs to AFA.

Those children in the upper managment of US....scary how it has "worked" for so long.

I happen to be a level one trauma nurse and for the life of me CAN NOT imagine a hospital being ran and managed the way they are TRYING to run and manage an airline.

Actually at this point, I think all of us have a vested interest in what happens at both U and HP. I dont see HP_FA trying to stir anything up, in fact they seem to be supporting Teddy and against managements interference on this issue. And last time I checked the rules, you didnt have to qualify to post on "anyones" boards. It would make this site quite dull if that were the case. Just check out the UA/NW/F9 threads to verify this.

Amazing that bad info gets posted right away. When people do the right thing, no one has the ba##s to post it. Kudos to our MEC for doing what was right!

Dear Members,

August 5, 2005

A special MEC meeting was held today in Washington D.C. to consider the recall of MEC President Teddy Xidas. After several hours of discussion the MEC reached a unanimous decision we believe will allow the union to effect an orderly transition of the office. Ms. Xidas has decided to tender her resignation to be effective October 16, 2005. The MEC will hold a special meeting on August 16, 2005 at 1:00pm at the PIT MEC office to elect a new MEC President.

MEC President Xidas and the president elect will work together during a two month transition period in order to continue our existing business and provide for a smooth transition as the company exits bankruptcy and begins the merger process with America West.

The new President will take office on October 17, 2005 and Ms. Xidas will remain as the LEC President of Council 40 until she begins her planned furlough on December 2. Ms. Xidas will also remain a member of the MEC until that date as well.

The MEC believes this decision will benefit all of the membership and demonstrates unity we hope will translate into a successful future.

Thank you,

The Master Executive Council

Interesting how the "Three Stooges" of CCY find so much interest in this thread!!! Don't you guys have any think better to do than sit back and read forums during company time using company PC's?? Well on the other had its better to have them lurking on the forums than making more ill advised business decisions

Yep.....A real "Crack" managment team!!!!

OUCH, Zuess.......

....and you didn't even get any vaseline for that one. (not that you desered it)

Well versed Piney.
