Yeah, ya better because we all know that a certain A320 pilot cannot be wrong about this.....

I agree with your logic and I cannot understand why it's being discussed, but it is, not only in Arlington, Elk Grove Township, and Tempe, but on Wall Street too. Will it happen? I do not know. Is it being actively discussed by interested parties? Yes.

Meanwhile, US Airways keeps on building its cash position and next week the new company will be free to enter into a corporate transaction without court or creditor interference.

I love reading your posts. It is fun watching you turn some minor comment
in a news paper article into some grand management plan.

Your interpretation of events also facinates me....its like viewing an approach thru a kalidascope.

As an example, the quote above about US Airways building its cash position. You interpret it as a move to position US Airways for aqusitions. I think Wall Street would see it as a move to pay for the massive costs involved in the integration of the two companies and still maintain some working capital. You conveniently view events from your warpped perspective....ignoring more realistic explainations.

In regards to Ted... why does UAL need to sell it? Is their financial position any more dire than US airways? I think most analysts would say no.

Does your company allow FO's to request not to fly with certain Capts. when bidding? I can only imagine the conversations you must have in the cockpit.

Keep those posts coming!!! The laughing keeps my blood pressure down!!!!

Ya think?! Exactamundo!!

I wonder if this is considered to be a priceless bonus feature and has saved many a left ear from countless hours of one-sided interminable discourse?

The laughing keeps my blood pressure down!!!!

Where have I heard that before? ;)

I'm thinking where I heard it, is where you heard it.

So, please inform me....Am I correct???

Lark:

How do you know? From that crack 25-year vet?

By the way, who first said on this website that MDA could be involved a corporate transaction and was widely criticized...and then it happened? How can that be? Was that ESP?

You often remind me of the lyrics to a song, maybe you know it?   "Still  crazy  after all these years"......

Oh, and he still finds you to be NOTHING other than highly amusing.......

Leaving for the weekend now, enjoy everyone!

Thank you for the professional comments – you add a lot of value and information to this forum. Does this type of work require 25 years experience too?

Best regards,

Lark is on her time off. She isn't required to be professional. Do you consider what you post as "professional"? (I read your posts and think of that old "This is your brain on drugs" commercial!) I find her posts entertaining (actually I find YOUR posts entertaining too, in a crackpot sorta way).

Again, although after 6 pages I'm sure you won't reply, WHY would US want Ted? What possibly could be their motivation? (and I know, I know, you don't read our posts, you just scan them  so you may not see this post) I'll take my chances and hit the "Add Reply" button now.

Fly:

I do not know if US Airways wants TED, more A320s, or what. All I indicated is that I understand from a very reliable source that United is shopping TED and US Airways is a potential suitor.

As I said before? WIll it occur? I do not know. Is it being discussed between the executive suites? Yes.

Moreover, like "Project Minnow" (ICT), what is true today can change tomorrow.

USA320Pilot

Let's see... he says ask your ALPA reps. So I do. ALPA says nope, not true. His response is that his source is more reliable than mine. Pretty useless exchange, huh?

-------------------------------------------

For those interested, here is the exact reply from my source, who I will not reveal here. Let's just say it came from the higher ranks of ALPA...

"The TED thing is something I know nothing about. Remember that TED is not a seperate entity, which is what the company wanted,so really cannot be sold off. By the way it is doing well for us and may be the only shining star in the domestic structure."
-------------------------------------------

Now I expect the usual response... 'of course he's going to say that... blah, blah, blah.' or something to that effect. How predictable.

For everyone reading this, just remember the track record of the person who startd this rumor. Sure he's been right about a few things, but most of his speculation falls through and is followed by the usual excuses like "I would have been right if circumstance had not changed."

And no, I am not trying to discredit the messenger. There is no credibility to to take away in the first place.

AWA320 Pilot,

I bet if you played darts, you would play with 100.. miss the board by far 90 times..barely hit the target 9 times... then get a bulls eye and claim what a great player you are!

I'd trust an astrologer to the star's before you. :D

Blood Pressure 105/70.......Thanks 320!

If you meant going to the beach house for the weekend, it required a valid driver's license, a full tank of gas and a convertible (and lest I forget: awesome driving-to-the beach music). Thanks for asking, as we all had a magnificent time! :)

Back on topic .......

So, if I may be so bold as to boil down the seven pages of this thread to the bare minima, and if I understand AWAbumpedtoPHXreserveF/O320pilot's reasoning:

1. The U / UA ALPA contracts contain 15 / 25 % fragmentation language;

2. TED represents less than 15 / 25 % of the UA fleet;

3. Therefore, those facts -- and no others! -- conclusively show that U is considering some sort of purchase of TED from UA.

I mean, what other conclusion could one reach?

Did I get that right?

What impeccable logic, as we've come to expect from the master.
