I most certainly am a member of the new US Airways....and my son is too. He's a line mechanic for the old HP/new US Airways. There was a little union meeting this morning...and they got the not so good news.

Well like I said, the integration of employees will be left to the unions. DP has asked for fair integration, but it's really out of his hands. I hope the best for you and your son. Has the union posted this information anywhere?

Eric..check your PM's

And I don't know if Teamsters has posted a letter yet. This is just the info the guys were given at LAX this morning. If it turns out to be less than the Teamsters currently believe, that will be a good thing.

Your kidding....right????  heavy maint in PHX????   Your previous posts stated that US wants OUT of the heavy maint of aircraft.......which is it , 700???the 737 will be gone in PIT....YOU stated previously that AWA does NO heavy.....Why would they "all of a sudden" do maint in PHX??????  you are contradicting yourself!!

The Airbus Arbitration is precident setting, the current IAM/US Airways Collective Bargaining Agreement requires all A320 Family heavy maintenance be accomplished in-house.

Which at the moment is being done in PIT, add HP's current Airbii into the mix and the PIT hangar is probably not large enough.

See if you were still a employee under the collective bargaining agreement you would know that.

50% of the 737 heavy maintenance is done in-house and it is done in CLT, not PIT, see if you were still US mechanic you would know that.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

The 737 IS being accomlpished in PIT.....I dont need to be there to know that......bye the way, hero....they are looking at modifying the hangars in pit to do other work, also.....if you did not already know, hangar 5 CAN accomidate the small airbus.......

By the way.....why must you "insult", and "attack", by saying if I was not still a mech there???? HMMMMM?????

You have no idea of what you are talking about.

All airbus A320 family heavy maintenance is peformed in PIT and all the 50% of the 737 heavy maintenance is that is done in-house is performed in CLT.

If you were a US employee you would know that.
