Local 591 Nominees

It has been that way since the mid-sixties (at least). Probably before, too. Loyalty to the TWU International is always rewarded. Even if they have to create a new position and title for the voted-out loyalist. In Oriyano's case, the newly-created position is "TWU Business Process and Research Analyst", (whatever that is).

Loyalty to the membership is not recognized by the International. In fact, it is seen as disloyalty. They are just a bunch of Fat Cats consolidating their power and lining their pockets with members' dues.

The pot calling the kettle black I see. You got Don V to get the company to open an extra slot when there was no more in DFW so you could go, took cash from the ARSA who wants the FAA to relax regulations on repair stations and licensed A&P work overseas, and you accept money from AA corporate.

Digressing from this topic's thread but you have a problem with my efforts to PROMOTE our craft & profession then don't make a donation to the AMTA, WWW.AMTAUSA.COM. When you see the bronze busts of Charles E. Taylor and read the State and Congressional AMT Day Resolutions that have been donated and passed hang your head in shame.

You didn't get your AMFA clubhouse twice at AA, the AMP clubhouse was DOA, and now you are peeing your pants over the fact that maybe when faced with a line wide vote Bob and your vision of destroying overhaul will not hold up under scrutiny. Ken you are pathetic. You attack others when your record on pro AMT is crap. AMFA did not defend the jobs of all those at NWA, AS, and the last AO AMTs at UA. Thousands of careers destroyed for ever and OV lined his pockets when he knew it was a bust. Madoff would be proud.

You then got the VP of line maint and Carmine to toss in some cash for the Charles Taylor bust. All the resolutions passed is mere window dressing. If you are so into CLASS and CRAFT, then you need to start with the government (FAA) and eliminating fly by night schools who do not teach the discipline of being an AMT, but are after the cash. The FAA as the certificate agency needs to change the basic cirriculum. We need more strenuous cirriculum for those that want to be an AMT and there needs to be periodic testing of AMT to prove your qualifications. All this bs about class and craft bring nothing to the table without basic change to how mechanics are trained. The aviation schools in the military should be included in this endeavor along with training credit toward an A&P.

Kind of reminds me of Owens & his groupies who overlook where they stumbled first in the early contract extension episode, then the 2010 T/A, and now that we have to deal with the result of their “keep voting no and things will get better” chorus, try to distract us from their role in the downhill process by blaming everyone but themselves. Management played a major role, but Owens and his gullible camp followers are not far behind.

It intreresring that you blame Owens and his band of followers when you can not say for sure what would have happened if you and your cowardly friends had not convinced 74% of Tulsa to vote yes through fear and imtimidation. We can now see all the fear you spread about layoffs and lost jobs has disappeared hell the guys laid off at DFW never left the building for the most part another group where riffed and will be back here within a month of leaving you guys are the clowns and the Circus is the TWU.
 
Wow this is interesting, all the TWU a$$ hats are posting over and over attempting to rewrite history. Is that all you got? Keep bashing Bob and Ken....really, we have heard it all already. AMTs want to control their own destiny, and it can't be done with the TWU or any other commie type union like the IBT or IAM.

I look at this 591 election as a referendum on what the line AMT's and Stores think of the TWU International. It is very clear that the choices are international wannabees versus those that despise the international. So the membership can use this vote as an approval rating for the international. I would expect an approval rating less than Congress has. :lol:

Ken you took money to pay for a plaque to recognize Charles Taylor from the ARSA who is for liberalization of FARs and other regulations on outsourcing of aircraft maintenance. You puff out your chest and promote groups that want to outsource more work to MROs. Your not smart at all Ken. From the ARSA website. http://arsa.org/legislative/issues/


The FAA’s inability to certificate new foreign repair stations is preventing U.S. companies from accessing international markets and stifling job creation in the United States. ARSA is working to lift the ban and allow the industry to expand into new and emerging markets.

You are uneducated and emotional and that makes you a detriment to the AMT profession.
