  • Wait and see?

i voted wait and see but with the vampires offering us the horrendous contract proposal i would vote strike!

After seeing the outcome of CWA's meeting with management today and their response... I believe that many of my brethern would say strike!

Seriously at this point, what difference would it make. the difference of say , 2 months? the company liquidates it down or we strike it down?

This is going to be a sad month for all Unions of CWA!

Why strike? Get paid until the end and receive unemployment til another job is found. ;)

I can understand 28 people voting for "wait and see". But what I can't understand is how 23 people could vote to accept what the company is offering. It is not my decision and I did not put in a vote (I don't work there). But to take py cut that huge those 23 must really need wht little money is left on the table.

I wish all the best of luck.

You must remember, there is no way of knowing who these 23 voters are. There is no way of knowing what department they work in (they may have already agreeded to what the company wants, and want everyone else to do the same). There is no way of knowing if they work for another airline. There is no way of knowing if they are working in ccy. Polls here don't really mean much.

Good point, and conversly, there is no way of knowing who the 93 are that voted to strike. They may not even work for U.

It's been four days since I posted this poll, and I would just like to thank everyone who took the time to vote.

All in all, I think it's probably pretty close to what a real vote would be. At least in my station, we have those like myself that have had enough of the so called 'needs' of today's airlines. We also have those that are willing to take any beating, so as to avoid having to do what they were doing before being hired by US Airways. i.e. Looking for a good job! And then, you have those that are only a year or two from retiring, and hoping to make it a little longer. Although between the company, and Bush, I'm not sure what they hope to get out of it?

My point was only to see where I stood among a larger group of my fellow employees, to which I feel I succeeded.
