I'm just saying that the Duty of Fair Representation is owed to current, not potential, members.

I will agree with you with this statement. However, once the NMB determines that there is a single transportation system, an election will be held.

If there are more pre merger DL flight attendants than premerger US flight attendants, the DL flight attendants can control who represents the larger group.

If the afa allows a staple and another union promises a ratio merge, the afa could lose its representation in this election.

Hence, my contention that seniority integration should be fair.

If this thing happens i think it would certainly mean the end of CLT as a hub CLT is too close to ATL and cannot compete with the Delta system from ATL.Would be a shame to see CLT go the route of PIT. The CLT facilities just as the PIT facilities are nice.

I don't know for sure, but I know that there have been several attempts to organize DL f/as over the years. All were voted down.

Don't worry...just like PSA and Trump, if this merger happens the DAL gals will vote the union in as fast as you can say senority. Every freakin time an AFA airline buys a non-AFA airline..or in this case non.union, they automatically LOVE AFA. The DAL f/a's will no longer have their powerful managers to persuade them that now is not the time. Those managers will be walking in fear of their own jobs and will probably encourage a vote for AFA.

This is where I differ with most and will probably get blasted. AFA has been around for years. Airlines that in the past who didn't have time for AFA and even talked them down fall in LOVE with AFA the moment a merger is announced and this is wrong!! It should be the position of AFA that if we attempted to organize you and you turned down AFA, DOH will not be extended to a non AFA airline. We are rewarding the same people that gave the finger to AFA.

For ALL the put downs of Piedmont Airlines for stapeling the Empire f/a's to the bottom, it was done BECAUSE Empire refused AFA as did the pilots for ALPA. Everyone cruxified PI, but the more I see this hypocricy, the more I see the PI f/a's and pilots as the smart ones. That makes up at LEAST 1200 current f/a's who gave the finger to AFA one day and kissed their asss the next.

I dont get it, LCC has no money to pay their employees so they make the employees take record pay cuts. Now they have a spare $8 billion to buy another airline, and pay a 25% premium for it?
