I believe that the 10hr day can be voted on by any given station. I'm not in favor of them, as they're swap and OT killers IMO.
They eliminate the possibility of working a double, which wipes out swap deals that many people count on. Also only leaves your days off to work a full OT shift.

I agree, I’m not a fan of them either. Just letting Robbed know that they are utilized in some stations and the language exist today.

Ord never had 4 hr pt shifts. We had 6 hr, sometimes 6.5. When i was chair...even on committe 2 years ago after the merger, i filed a grievance and they changed the bid and got 1.5 hrs.
At any rate, you Will arbitrate or step up now after i called you out on this. Your members will appreciate when you get the new bid worked out. My bet is that you wont have to arbitrate if you quit drinking fairbanks kool aid and let managements boy fairbanks know that you are goin to finally wear big boy pants. And if you have to arbitrate then make sure you get the right testimony and history. Dont lose on purpose by presenting a shiatie case.

DP/AAL play you like a fiddle with your BS IAM politics and personal vendetta's . As both you and CB know there are AGC's from USAir who no the history of why PT language stayed in IAM CBA's past/present . My bet is stations like BOS,PHL, and PIT to name a few don't have "back to back" PT (3-6.5 hrs. ) lines to cover FT lines of 8.5 on shift's 1 ,2, or 3 ? Have you both checked with those IAM Members ? Bottom line is it need's to be grieved now or arbitrated, regardless of station or politics and language changed in JCBN's for ALL . CHEERS !

Me and lehive and rodney watson from piedmont since any deal was gonna affect us. I know about that teamster language and how miklavic chandle and harbison all knew it came right out of the teamster book. These new guys dont listen and werent there with us original local chairmen. 15 years later, fairbanks, delaney, and baskett reinterpret and say it wouldnt win arbitration. Dont blame me, im about as hard line as it gets.

Ive made myself available always. I emailed sito several times telling him im financially blessed and would help in any way without taking a salary and just to cover any per diems away from home. He asked if i supported him and emailed him back telling him that i do not support him and would be running against him but that it didnt mean i wouldnt help our members. He never responded back.
If you dont support them, they are afraid who takes credit so they would rather burn the houses down before calling on someone who doesnt bend the knee.

Im not the only one who knows the history of the language. Psa was an original local chairman as i was. There was 25 of us and the agcs who were all from the teamster contract.
Cb just gotta stop listening to people who werent there. Harbison was there but he prolly changed his narrative when delaney got in. Then fairbanks ran with it. Fairbanks is a management shill. Baskett always signed a a card when we were non union, few in clt did. But fairbanks was anti union in dtw and never would sign a card.

Now I can see why this contract will not get done for SOME time! We have two unions with seperate agendas and no sense of unity or support. The package (Alliance) looks all shiny and perfect from the outside as the members look at the package. What they don’t see on the inside is the disarray and lack of commitment that the TWU and IAM have for each other. This may end up coming down to a vote and may the strongest Union exist after the votes are tallied.
