because if they are getting the same money as we but better insurance that is certainly not industry leading and a concession

I think if you're going to "if" like that you need to know what DL and UA insurance is like

Most people who complain about their Medical quite honestly are usually sickly or have families on their plans and perhaps an unworking spouse.

On multiple message boards I read complaints from UAL and even more so DL employees. Not as much again honestly at AA.

There isn't anyone in the Industry who gets better Insurance than IAM Represented LUS members that I can find. And I have checked around.

I actually spoke with a LAA person who's husband was really sick ,stem cell the whole nine yards she said the insurance was good and to be honest I'm not hearing rumbling from any CSA or managers. I do agree however losing it would be considered a concession

So my question then is where does the LAA insurance stack up with those two?

From what I've seen people write it's in the Deductibles and Prescriptions that those other two Airlines employees are getting murdered.

At Delta some Prescriptions they don't even cover or the monthly cost is insane. Unaffordable.

Sometimes people do stupid things like go out of network or don't use a generic

Life savings medications with no generic equivalent.

These conversations were well covered and discussed Al. We at AA have it pretty good no matter which Medical side you fall on.

I will be checking out the new enrollment period for '18 this week. More than likely there will be an increase in cost. My plan that I chose (at UA) is not very high, but it isn't cheap. (IMHO: uncertainty in the ACA will raise the cost of employer plans this coming year.) It really comes down to what you and your family will need. (I chose a lower deductible plan with more coverage at a higher cost.) My prescription cost aren't that bad, especially with the generics. Vision isn't too bad either. And the IAM helped in reducing the cost of the Dental plan, which I had to use. I will probably pick a plan similar to what I have now, but I expect it to cost more. Being older, I probably will use it more.

Please show us some numbers as far as deductibles and max out of pocket costs so we can compare.
Thanks ...

I will be getting the new info hopefully sometime this week or next. Reps.(from the insurance companies - this area in the North East will probably have to choose Aetna for the main provider; other areas of the country can choose BCBS) are supposed to be visiting the hubs along with the IAM (which offers their own supplemental insurance) this week or so. I prefer the Reps to come, so I can talk to them in person to help advise me on a particular plan along with the other choices and life insurance choices.

I'm curious. Not trying to convince.

If the industry was paying on average $5000.00 more per year in Medical than you were would you accept making $4000.00 per year less in wages and say that you were "Industry Leading"?

Do you count or dismiss the raises we got last October also?
Weez,

I do not dismiss the raises we got last october. But your "what if" scenario is just goofy. A concession is a concession no matter what it looks like. Be it a loss in excellent insurance coverage, or a loss of vacations, or a loss of holidays, or a loss of OT language. It would be a concession. So if we are willing to give up the better LUS insurance when this company is making BILLIONS, what are we going to be giving up "if" the company is only making millions, breaking even or losing money? Because you know the company is going to throw it back in our faces that we gave up the better healthcare when it wasn't necessary. I mean, seriously, why are the AA people not screaming for our insurance?
