When we accepted the pay increases we gave up 90% of our bargaining chips.
I hold the leadership responsible for not thinking it through.. we lost the chest game with one move.. You cant fix stupid....
Got to explain this one

I can tell you with 100% certainty that iam members showed up and picketed in MIA even though Sito has stood down like a company Biatch arse whore.

Among the rank and file (the greedy set) many don't give a rats arse about each other's items and positions. And they don't even make any pretense about it. No letter of support at the very least only serves to reinforce many people's opinions of the IAM/TWU Association that it's a failure ideologically.

It keeps up the opinion that it's only really ultimately about those individual positions, salaries and dues.

(Did I see a IAM 141 142 letter of support for ORD today? Nope)

I said months ago that both sides shot their biggest load and the Company got what they primarily wanted-- the ability to cross utilize staff to work each other's metal. In return, rank and file got their biggest issue-- a large pay raise.

At that point, I knew the JCBA would be a long time coming, especially as the cost structure of non-wage related expenses would be an average as AA holidays are 5 and US are 10, and the Company has proposed something in the middle. However, what's the hurry for the Company as the de facto costs are now what they proposed?

The former Tempe boys were very happy to operate two separate pilot groups (with below industry standard wages) for several years while the two unions bickered over seniority, as the flying public didn't notice (or care) as operation continued as normal.

The Company proposals have been to go after scope primarily which leads me to think if there is any "weasel room" (no offense, weez) in various side agreements as to protected work they will look at closing stations. Doesn't AA/TWU have some deadline running out at the end of 2018?

I got to say that ORD picking Wrigley field to have their little demonstration, really is hitting below the belt, and in my opinion a "f en slimy" way of doing business. Hey ORD, know your target audience, and point your message in the right direction. Don't spoil some kids day at the ballpark!

Just saying.

The company wanted more "cross utilization" than that. They also pushed hard for combining crews. They did not get that at will not until a JCBA. I will take the trade off. Now it is/was up to the Association to get an industry leading contract, we wait.

Is this where I pop this in? :)

Banner flying over Wrigley Field.

This has to be the Dumbest ideal I has EVER seen. I wonder who's brother is getting paid to fly that over Wrigley. Or who's cousin got paid to make that banner. Hey why don't we write a letter to Trump. Oh my bad we did that. How did that work out. We even have retards that voted for him because he said he was going to bring back jobs to the US. You people need to wake up. There is only one thing that will make AA give us what we want. DO YOUR JOB.

????? I can't touch LAA metal ,can't pull one bag off their belt. I think the pay raise made it more difficult for the company if anything. Jester what is a new contract going to get you ? 25 cents an hour and a more expensive medical plan
