JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

I am just speculating, but I suspect the Company wants a universally standardized plan across all work groups. If fleet service would be granted a (lower cost) exception, then surely others would demand the same thing within their CBAs. So it isn't just about us.

Also in a larger picture with healthcare, in general, all these different plans with different rates, deductibles, coverage, etc. leads to higher administrative overhead, so there is a overall push for simplicity.
I'm wondering if the can simplify and keep cost down, would it reduce our over-all cost
Couldn't care less if you disagree with the court of popular opinion. I said all along, LUS will enroll for next years healthcare right beside us, and it will be the same for everyone. I also said LUS would suffer on scope, you and Timmy can pound on the table as much as you want, but at the end of the day this will come to pass, despite your quezzyness.

P.S. about 6 months ago, someone I know and trust mentioned to me that JetNet told all LUS employees that 2017 would be the last year they would get health insurance at a discount. I tried to look for this, but I have no reason to not believe what I was told.
maybe you shouldn't trust that person anymore? It was the USair agents that were told about their insurance

the company gave us a first round proposal . so what do we say! we dont like it so instead of pouting about it give them are proposal and negotiate it out no more stalling. that's what we pay our dues for.....get it done!!!!!.

Maybe it takes a little more than a day or two to write out a complete counter proposal to a first extremely subpar one from the Company?

And you pay dues for much more than just Negotiations BTW.

Fun times man.

Hold on LUS dude! I remember talking one of the CC in LAS, and his words were "AA would never file for BK, they have too much money on hand!" 6 months later he was white as a sheet. Bankruptcy is a tool used by companies, and thanks to American, that company can still file even with a healthy cash on hand balance. Go ahead and be part of that "Restore and more" crowd at LAA, we will see just how long this JCBA will last before the next round at self-financed trip to BANKRUPTCY.
Bob that Stripper perfume and the strong smell of Lestoil coming from behind the clubs bar is starting to take it's toll on you not to mention the urinal cakes and vomit coming from the bathroom

they should have a counter proposal all ready a shoot for the moon type. then you go back and forth to you agree.

Doesn't work that way. You have to draft responses off of what you get and some pieces "may" have been accepted.

And they presented their shoot for the moon proposal the first day they sat down together a year and a half ago.

Are those old style clubs with the smell of stale beer and sawdust coming from the floor? I wonder if the Baby Powder counteracts any of the putrid emanations?

Unfortunately, some TWU peeps are more focused on making sure the favorite child gets spanked instead of getting their favorite cookie from pops. Truly amazing, working for a company that makes billions per quarter and we have TWU peeps who are more focused on preventing LUS from keeping its health care. I get the feeling that 90% of all TWU peeps will vote yes if they just get double time and a few holidays. The TWU Local prez from ORD came through yesterday and he seemed like he wanted a contract yesterday or at least before his election.

I think you better re-read Jester's post on the healthcare issue, but no matter everyone is satisfied right now. You have your cheaper healthcare for another year, you get your bagroom spot for another year, and better vc weeks, if that matters. the grand lodge gets its pension funding for another and extreme salarys. Catering keeps their job for another year. ah... company is going to start squeezing us worse than ever though, the longer this contract takes. my prediction stays the same, catering and your healthcare are gone, and your pension within 17 months now takes another hit. to save catering at his point, i'd look at making it a b-scale job, with 50 percent part time.

Trump bill today just helped catering a lot though. These outsourcing companies, in collusion with these job recruiting firms, were destroying jobs/wages/benefits for the last 6 years just incredible. how the h eck trumka is still president of afl cio, talk about someone who needs to be thrown out.

Broad brush, I could say the same about lavs and water and airfreight and you. The B scale thing may be right, AA has a long history with it even in good times

Personally, I have always found B-scale solutions somewhat offensive insofar people who will be subject to the reduced pay/benefits/hours won't be voting on the CBA, as those folks will be future employees. Of course, those not subject to a B-scale think it is a great idea if they will get their betterment.

How about if you look yourself out the door and take your 50% part-time with you , oh the b-scale as well

I want to see these Company's OFF OUR Airplanes. How do/can we make that happen?
