The issue with the pension information being shared on this page deals with the aftermath of the BK and the frozen pensions.

As you can image, there are many Members that had a limited amount of time to accrue a pension payout. For those Members that have accrued $50K or less, there will be an opportunity to have their accrual paid out or it could be turned over to a different retirement account, such as a 401K.

The affected Members will be contacted directly by the Company and a full explanation, with their options, will be included.

This information should have been formally addressed by the International before the affected Members were contacted by the Company. That didn't happen and here we are trying to fend for ourselves.

I did not know that. Based on all the FSC's from Puerto Rico here Dallas, I thought it was outsourced.

We (LUS) do cargo ? where?
The West got to keep cargo in a few stations, and the East kept catering. I believe that on the LUS side, we have cargo in PHX, LAS, and possibly LAX. It's obvious that the person that you're replying to above is clueless in a few aspects as to what jobs fleet still has.

.

Leaving out your last paragraph which of course is both critical and Political in nature, thank you very much for the follow up explanation. 🙂

Clueless? heck no, he has it all figured out

You're right it's just business to the company. But it's bad business to do to people that have already had a bad view of management for many years. At least before they were losing a bunch of money so had an excuse. Gives me an even lower opinion of these guys. Was never a fan of the Association, but what I hear about this company proposal is like getting kicked below the belt. They can't blame the unions for crap like that.

Know thy enemy folks! It is not each other. If everyone had the opportunity to sit in on negotiations it would become obvious. It's all about cost to the company in negotiations. It may be seen as Bad Business but the company doesn't seem to care. Historically; No news there; as all involved TWU and IAM members in JCBA talks with LUS & AA, have experienced. We should have come to expect a sub par comprehensive proposal. Pronouncements of "Industry Leading" at Town Hall Meetings are irrelevant, without merit and meaningless.

My apologies, didn't mean to infringe on your niche.

Of course I am when I have to negotiate better deals through corporate campaigns. You are welcome for the extra .75 cents in your pocket.

Wow if .75 cents is all you can drum up for people in your mind, I hope you never negotiate for me. Hell a can of Pepsi is over $1.00 today.

dude, you guy's do cargo and lav's too. catering is a soft target, along with lav's. And the outsource lav company in ord is affliated with aa management, supposedly. wouldn't surprise me if the company was offering to keep to catering too get rid of cargo and chitters. if catering is so essential, you guy's don't even do it in Phoenix. That's the reason i don't have a problem if catering is outsourced. How many stations do you guy's do it in? Cuts are coming they always do, but hopefully buyouts and station reopenings /scope will ameliorate the damage from that. that said we lose cargo and chitters, those are fleet jobs all hubs do, which should be the main focus, for the next 20 years. Its not right i agree, but its better than waiting for downturn, and losing the jobs catering (soft target) anyway. I can't believe the company would outsource cargo, anyway, you want the cargo done right for the wide bodies, so they have to be of two minds on it
Get off the page , we don't need defeatist! Look at you!! Willing to lose jobs as always
