A little information to the membership can go far to remove some of the bickering .

i've gotten plenty of info about wages/insurance the past 24 hrs. of course, that's just from here...but it's right there.

insulting and a waste of time. if i was this glass fellow, i would have been ashamed to hand over the proposal that the association publicly ripped apart; without the assoc. getting into the insulting specifics.

the company pulls the strings here. the company has decided that we will suffer for what we will get. parker can sleep at night..it's only business.

what's amazing to me, is Sito and his conflict of interest and grudge he holds is even allowed near negotiations. i'll stick to my guns, save cargo, save chitters, get us a contribution and a match. have regan, fa's, agents, and pilots get together and figure a way to healthcare keep costs down for everyone. f the iampf, except for grandfathered iam people they can continue to fund the officer pension.

Funny save Cargo, Lavs and water get rid catering . You think you might be a slightly bit partial?

You're right it's just business to the company. But it's bad business to do to people that have already had a bad view of management for many years. At least before they were losing a bunch of money so had an excuse. Gives me an even lower opinion of these guys. Was never a fan of the Association, but what I hear about this company proposal is like getting kicked below the belt. They can't blame the unions for crap like that.

i agree..

when your net worth is in the tens of millions, there is no rush. when you are a fsc that got hit in 2003 and 2011 and you have 1-2-3 contracts left before retirement, you're in a bit of a rush playing catch-up.

'team members' is on page 1 of the 'convey happy feelings' business manual from wharton business school. they can stop with the BS and insulting everyone's intelligence.

June 2018. And as far as good health care, I think pilots didn't have a problem after they cashed in their health care for 16% 401k. I guess everything has a price for a majority.

no doubt. there is a price and one party doesn't want to overpay and the other party doesn't want to sell short.

you mentioned murphy in another post. i would say that he was more or less up-beat on negotiations...up until the company's ridiculous proposal.

dude, you guy's do cargo and lav's too. catering is a soft target, along with lav's. And the outsource lav company in ord is affliated with aa management, supposedly. wouldn't surprise me if the company was offering to keep to catering too get rid of cargo and chitters. if catering is so essential, you guy's don't even do it in Phoenix. That's the reason i don't have a problem if catering is outsourced. How many stations do you guy's do it in? Cuts are coming they always do, but hopefully buyouts and station reopenings /scope will ameliorate the damage from that. that said we lose cargo and chitters, those are fleet jobs all hubs do, which should be the main focus, for the next 20 years. Its not right i agree, but its better than waiting for downturn, and losing the jobs catering (soft target) anyway. I can't believe the company would outsource cargo, anyway, you want the cargo done right for the wide bodies, so they have to be of two minds on it

Company looking to get out of the Pension business.

Edit: Looking to lower their liabilities by offering people an early buyout against a lifetime annuity?

Not quite. Explain it instead of creating a misleading statement.

Actually I'm looking for an explanation myself and should have added a question mark at the end of my sentence.

This is running rampant out there.

People already want to Ka Ching.
