As you can see, LAA is more expensive than LUS for both our FT and PT. The deductible is higher for LAA and out of pocket max $150 less for individual but $1550 higher for family. Hope this helps to understand the insurance difference.
P. Rez,
You
forgot to mention the OOP max for LAA is
$1000 less for individual + kids
.
But the rest of your numbers are helpful.
It is clear the difference is much less if it's just you or just you and kids than if you have a spouse too.
Thanks for finding all the info, we needed it out there. For me it's not a huge difference,
but it is a difference and after 4 years of massive profits, the company should
compensate that difference in the contract if they will move everyone to the plan the entire rest of the company is on.
Also, I'd love to see how they are going to compensate all the LAA for disparity in Holidays. Holiday pay, overtime, vacations, sick days which are all vastly different than LUS currently.
Or will the company say, well LUS, you've enjoyed the slightly cheaper insurance for entirety of the merger while LAA, you've lived with a disparity in all those other benefits for a little over a year now~
even everything out and call it even? Not sure, just thinking out loud how they might try to resolve it.
