Internal fighting. The news of the day. The company laughs all the way to the bank. The beat goes on.
Sorry you feel that way, ograc. My response would be that the IAM was not picketing (regardless if you think it works or not) and secondly, I watched Parker and the State of the Union today, and the very first question was about the contract and it's delay. Presenting that question from the front row was TWU reps sitting together as a union. I did not see one IAM rep there with the TWU, much less any IAM member putting Parker on the spot. Maybe when you guys "join" the team, the internal fighting will cease.
Let me add this ograc. I'm not calling you out or any other IAM member who comments here on this forum. There are a couple or so who I feel want no part of the team and are happy with status quo, but there are others who I totally respect, robbed, rat, just to name a couple. So that comment is directed higher up...

Sounds like the company has tried to speed up the process by making a comprehensive all in one proposal that will increase cost by one billion. The ball is clearly in the unions court to get something done.

Where does that information come from?

Think it's Bull **** company won't increase costs for below the wing by one billion

Todays State of the Airline. Doug was very nice trying not to blame the union specifically but the process, with 2 unions x 7 work groups negotiating line by line is never going to get done. So the companty made a complete proposal across all items. He said they also agreed with the union not to mention specifics but it includes more pay in addition to the previous increases, and big improvements in vacation, holidays and reteriment. He said it will cost more than either Deltas or Uniteds and will be industry leading.

Gentleman this is America, if the USair guys want to keep their healthcare, they can! All they have to do is vote No on the JCBA !

Confirmed, he was just called out on the $400 million as basically chump change comparatively.

Not protecting Parker, if you listened earlier, your earlier raise costing 500 million was added to the new proposal of 400 million. If we are gonna complain, and I am, let's at least speak facts.

Ok Tray, I don't imagine he was rounding off. You're right, it is not a Billion.
